Perry Point Baptist Cemetery
Perry Point, Johnston Parish, Queens Co., NB

    There are two recordings for this cemetery, both made for the Queens County Historical Society. One by A.P. Hetherington, Cody's, NB. The other by Fred L. Corcoran and assisted by Mrs. Eileen Kincade.

    The first record states: - To locate the Perry Point Baptist Cemetery, between Cody's and the Narrows, one leaves the main highway at a point just south of Lennie Kinkaid's home. The cemetery road leads back from the lake to a height of land overlooking the Washademoak Lake. The road would be passable by truck, but has deep
ruts. When you reach the clearing turn in a southerly direction and follow a path for a short distance.

    The second states: This cemetery is on land originally granted to Michael Hawkins as Lot No.16. See separate map section. It is about a mile from the highway, back of the road into the woods. It is well kept. See separate map section.

Now placed in alphabetical order and cross referenced. Due to using two records the original numbers are being deleted. The first record is used and list twelve stones and ten unmarked graves (marked +). Mr Cocorans gives nine stones and thirteen unmarked graves (marked +*). Those duplicated by Mr. Cocoran are marked with an *, as are any additions from his records.
