This cemetery is on a tract of land originally
granted to: John Robertson, R. Robertson, Jr., R. Robertson, Sr, and John
Young. The land is presently (1978) owned by Robert Setske. It is rather
well kept, recently new posts have been placed and a mesh wire fence.
It is between 3/4 and 1 mile from the road, down near the lake. Well
wooded all around it.
There appears to be 28 graves altogether, only
3 have commercial headstones, one with a white painted cross and the remained
with fieldstones. The far end seems to be all children's graves. Mr. Lloyd
Mott says these children's graves are those of McKenzies and Heustis. Sketched
and written by Fred L. Corcoran, assisted by Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Mott,
for the Queens County Historical Society. (1978) (see elsewhere
for map)
These photos were taken the fall of 2002, so new stones have been
added since the original record was made. The right hand photo at the top
are fieldstones with no markers. Probably those of the children mentioned
above.
