Jacob Biel Bible (1810-1892)

Jacob Biel Bible was born Jan. 27, 1810 in Greene County, TN. Jacob was the 3rd son of George and Margaret Bible. His siblings included: Sarah, Feb. 3, 1805; Moses, April 8, 1808; Joseph, June 4, 1812; Elizabeth, Dec. 1, 1815; Aaron, Aug. 16, 1819; Mary Ann, June 27, 1822; Martha, Dec. 28, 1826 and Ezra, April 21, 1828.

Jacob married Arabella Cleary Jan. 7, 1836. Arabella Cleary Bible was born Oct. 31, 1819 to Zachariah Cleary and Susannah Harmon. Arabella died June 7, 1860. Children of Jacob Bible and Arabella Cleary were: Zacharia, born before July 1, 1837; Samuel, Jan. 18, 1839; Enoch, July 5, 1841; Mary Ann, Aug. 17, 1843; Elizabeth, May 15, 1846; Mordicai, Mar. 26, 1849; Emaline Elisa, Mar. 9, 1851; Margaret Susan, June 19, 1855; Seth, Jan. 27, 1856.

In the 1850 census, Greene Co., Tenn., Jacob was a blacksmith. Jacob Biel Bible joined the Union Army July 1, 1863 in Cocke Co, TN. He was a PVT Mustered into K Company 8th Reg TN INF VOL Camp Nelson KY as Sgt. Mustered out July 30, 1865 PVT Company Shops, NC.

Jacob married Abigail Davis July 24, 1869. Abigail Davis Bible was born April 20, 1839. Born to Jacob and Abigail was James born July 11, 1871. Jacob died Feb. 24, 1892 and is buried in Clark Cemetery in Del Rio, Cocke County, TN. Abigail died July 22, 1901.
