Thomas Edward Adams (1850-1932)

Thomas Edward Adams was born in Keachie, DeSoto Parish, Louisiana. He was the son of Thomas R. and Mary Adams. He moved to Navarro County, Texas in the 1800's. The 1880 Texas census lists Thomas E. age 31 born in Louisiana, occupation farmer, father's birthplace was South Carolina , mother's birthplace was Louisiana. Caroline Adams-wife, age 31 born in MS. Children: Margarett age 8 born in Texas, Emma age 4 born in Texas, and Keene age 1 born in Texas.� Caroline (Carrie) died July 26, 1906.

About 1909 Thomas married Gay Jackson.� Gay is mentioned on the 1910 Texas McLennon county census as married 1 year, and previously married. Her mother is in the household listed as Penny Jackson widowed 70-had 4 children with 2 living.

Thomas Edward Adams' soldier application for a pension was filed April 8, 1926 and approved May 29, 1926. It states Thomas was honorably discharged June 1865 when the army was disbanded.

Thomas died March 5, 1932 in Waco, Texas. His wife Caroline (Carrie) died July 26, 1906.
