Ship List for Elizabeth and Ann 1716 The Elizabeth & Anne was being used in the slave trade at the time of the 1715 Jacobite rebellion. It's merchant owners thought they might be more highly rewarded by handling the "transport" of prisoners for the King. The arrangement was to take the prisoners on consignment and receive payment when a receipt for their delivery was presented to His Majesty's Court in London.
