Mr. Charlie J. Daniel

Funeral services were conducted for Mr. Charlie J. Daniel, 77, of 206 West County Road, Saturday, March 12, at 4 p.m. at Antioch United Methodist Church. Mr. Daniel died Thursday afternoon, March 10, 1988, in an out-of-town hospital.

The Revs. E. Leo Rappe' and Willis Fortson officiated. Interment was held in the church cemetery. Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Daniel was a native of Worth County. He had been a resident of Upson County for 59 years. He was a former dairyman and a retired employee of the maintenance division of the State Highway Depart. Mr. Daniel was a member of the Antioch United Methodist Church and a disabled Army veteran of World War II, in which he served as a Staff Sergeant.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Burnette Daniel of Thomaston; daughter, Mrs. Dianne Adams of Thomaston; three sons, Mr. James L. Daniel of Rockdale, Texas, Mr. Charles and Mr. Gary Daniel, both of Thomaston; a sister, Mrs. Lula Mae Corley of Thomaston; brother, Mr. Myers Daniel of Rome. Eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
