Funeral services for Freddie K. Bleeker, 85, of Brownwood, will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, August 12, in the Howell-Doran Funeral Home with Wayne Horton officiating. Interment will follow at San Saba City Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 pm on Friday, August 11, at Hearland Funeral Home in Early. Mrs. Bleeker passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2006 in Brownwood at a local nursing home. Freddie Katherine Gunter was born on December 5, 1920, in San Saba County, the daughter of Fred N. Gunter and Etoyle Myers Gunter. She was raised in the China Creek Community and attended school in San Saba. She married F.E. "Jack" Bleeker in Brown County on May 5, 1957. She was a longtime resident of Brownwood and a member of the Early Church of Christ. She is survived by he daughter Valera Convoy and husband Derek, of Brownwood; her son, Richard Neal White and Jackie Molinet of Brownwood; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Bleeker; a son James Hickey; a daughter, Virginia Nell Hickey; one infant sister and sister Eloise Clark. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Johnny Ray Alldredge Jr.
