Last Will and Testament of William Hardwick.

- To the heirs of my beloved son, James Hardwick, deceased, 25 cents. To daughter Hannah Dawkins, 25 cents. To daughter Nancy Daniell, 25 cents, to son William 25 cents - To son George, a negro man named Jack. To George Hardwick and Garland Hardwick land whereon I now live, 150 acres. To daughter Molly Fitzpatrick and the legal heirs of her body, negroes Sarah and Sally, also household items, all my livestock -- provided she pay my buriel expenses. -- To son Garland, a negro man named Ned. To granddaughter Cinthia Hardwick Fitzpatrick, the following negroes; Chancy, John, Fanny and Granville, but all to remain in the possession and for benefit of her mother during he lifetime or widowhood. Appoint George Hardwick and Garland Hardwick executors of my estate.

Added Note: Extracted from the "Roster of Revolutionary War Soldiers In Georgia" compiled by Mrs. Howard H. McCall State Regent, Ga D.A.R. 1916-1918 and Published by the Georgia Dauthers of the American Revolution is the following; "William Hardwick was born in South Carolina and died in Greene County, Georgia on February 24, 1803. Buried near Davisboro, Ga. Served as private 3rd SC troops, and sergeant 6th SC troops. Married Cynthia Parker April 22, ____.

In her DAR application she states she is the grandaughter of Reuben and Elizabeth Hines Johnson Dawkins and the great grandaughter of William and Henry (*should be Haney) Hardwick Dawkins.
