Obituary of John Robert Martin

Brushy Fork--The remains of Robert Martin of Indianapolis arrived in Portland on two o-clock train, March 7th, and were brought to Mt. Vernon the following day. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Preswell. He is survived by one brother, Tom Martin and two sisters, Mrs. J. M. Brown and Mrs. F. L. Moncrief, all of this county.
Note: John Robert Martin was born in Sumner Co, TN on 01-Mar-1879 and died 04-Mar-1916. He was the son of James "Polk" Martin and Margaret Dinkins. His lineage was as follows: Leonard Brown > Solomon Brown > Richard Martin m. Sarah Brown > Henry Azariah Martin > James "Polk" Martin > John Robert Martin
