Tobias Feake: I previously had another Tobias Feake, a son of Elizabeth Fones and Robert Feake, and I traced my ancestry from him, through James his son.

I have recently been persuaded that this was incorrect and there was only one Tobias {FEAK72}, the son of Robert's brother James and Audrey Dixon-Compton. Chiefly persuasive in this regard was the Patricia L. Haslam article in The Register: Captain Daniel Patrick of the 1630 Winthrop Fleet and Some of His Descendants, NEGHR 153:466ff (Oct 1999). (Tobias' 1st wife, Annenken, was Daniel Patrick's widow.)
