Happy St. Patrick's Day!
For the last ten years of researching my DAWSON surname, I have made a strong effort to write down every scrap of DAWSON information I come across, whether the individual seems to have a connection to my line or not. Rather than keep all this work to myself, I choose to share it here with other DAWSON researchers in hopes of making connections between our distant branches - and perhaps even getting to the roots of my own in the process.

The information posted here has been painstakingly gathered from original records when possible - newspapers, courthouses and census reels to name a few - but also from books and other library resources. As with all genealogical endeavors, this site is most definitely subject to error, either in the record itself or in my transcription of it. Use this site as a guide, looking up the original record for verification. Also keep in mind that if I don't have the information you're looking for here, it might still exist somewhere.
If you do find any errors, missing information or non-working links, please let me know. I want to be as accurate as possible. Though my research time is limited, specific queries are welcome and encouraged. If you do write, please give as many details as possible.
