This day appeared before me Jacob W. Walker Judge of the Court of Probate of Madison County State of Illinois James Gray and being duly sworn deposeth and saith that James S. Faris late of this county is deceased and that the oldest child of the said deceased is not more than six years of age so for as this deponent knows or believes and further this deponent sayeth not.

One thousand two hundred dollars – current currency of ? ? ? for the payment of which he will and ? ? made ? and each of us ? ? ? ? ? our ? executors and administrators jointly severally and firstly by theses presents Sealed with our Seals and dated this 19th day of June in the year of our Lord 1821
The Condition of this obligation is such that of the written bounders Neffany Faris and James Faris administrators and administrator of all and ? ? goods chattels and credits of James S. Faris deceased do make or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all and singule the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased which have or shall come to the hands ? or knowledge of them the said Neffany Faris and James Faris - - or into the hands and ? of any other person or persons for them and the same so made to ? or cause to be exhibited in the court of Probate of the County of Madison at or before the 20th day of September next causing and the same goods chattels and credits and all other goods chattels and credits of the said deceased at the time of his death which at any time here after ? come to the hands or ? of them the said Neffany and James Faris or into the hands and ? of any other person or persons for ? will and truly administer according to Law and further do make or cause to be made a true and just account of their said administration at or before the 20th day of June 1822 and all the rest ? residue of said goods chattels and credits which shall be found remaining upon the accounts of the said administrative and administration ? being first examined

Law shall limit and appoint: and if it shall ? appear that any last Will and Testament was made by the said deceased, and the ? or ? therein named do exhibit the same into the said ? making request to have it allowed and approved accordingly if the said Neffany and James Faris with in bound being thereunto required do render and deliver the said ? of Administration, ? of such testament and being first had and made in the said ? then this obligation to be void and of none effect or else to remain in full force and ?

James Faris adm. Of the estate of James S. Faris deceased petition the Court of Probate for an order allowing a credit of 12 months on the personal property to be sold of the Goods & Chattels of the said James S. deceased and the said administrator being sworn de? And saith that he knows of no debt dues or demands of any individual or individuals against the said James S. deceased at the time of his death and be verily believes that the heirs of said James S. deceased will be greatly benefited by selling said goods & chattels at the credit aforesaid and further this ? sayeth not.
