According to our family Bible, my great-great-grandfather, James Monroe Boothe,  was born on November 28, 1850, and census records say he was born in Tennessee.  He died July 3, 1927, in Lindsay, Garvin County, Oklahoma.  I have not yet been able to learn who his parents were or what county in Tennessee he was from.  He married Permelia Tennessee Nichols on June 9, 1878, somewhere in Texas.  She was the daughter of Archibald Nichols and Eliza Jane Golden.
