Evans Nelle Niekirk's Evans Manuscript This manuscript was written in 1976 by Nelle Shumate Niekirk (now deceased) titled "Descendants of John Evans of Bell County, Kentucky". In this manuscript, Nelle discusses her thoughts & findings pertaining to her research on the John Evans who settled on Evans Mountain in Knox/Bell County, Kentucky.
Fuson & Evans History of the Fuson Family This manuscript was originally written by Henry Harvey Fuson in 1927. In February 1995, Lorraine Miracle (a Fuson & Evans descendant) edited this manuscript and included revisions and corrections. This is a copy of Lorraine's revision and is a must read for any Fuson or Evans researcher.
Head George Cash's Head Manuscript This manuscript was written in about 1980 by George R. Cash (now deceased) titled "The Heads of Scott County, Virginia". Mr. Cash summarizes his collection on his research pertaining to the Heads of Virginia. He distributed this account to all he had thought interested in hopes of receiving additional information.
Augusta Co, VA Chronicles of the Scotch-Irish Settlement in Virginia - Vol. I The first volume of "The Chronicles of the Scotch-Irish Settlement in Virginia: 1745 to 1800" by Lyman Chalkley. This is really the best starting place for anyone researching ancestors in Augusta County, VA during this time period. The three volume series contain most of the abstracts of court records in Augusta County between those dates. Surnames of my interest are Callison, Evans, Russell & Braden.
