Virtually noting is known of Natanial Gray. He is believed to have been born around 1780-1785 in North Carolina. He may have been the son of William Gray (1755-1849), a Major in the Revolution, and Ann Thornberry (1757-1854).
It is not known whom Nathanial married or when. He seems to have died in Preble County, Ohio, probably in the early 1820's, and his children became orphans.
