HINSON2 BLOUNT (JACOB1) was born Abt. 1788 in NC, and died Abt. 1823 in
NC. He married CLEMMY BRILEY, daughter of WILLIAM BRILEY and SARAH
(FLEMING?).
Notes for HINSON BLOUNT:
"On Hinson Blount's death (1823) his widow,
Clemmie (Briley) Blount, married again, then to a Mr. Jones, not further
identified. But she does show in the records in 1860 as 'the widow
Jones.'"
In addition to son William Gray Blount, Hinson
had a dau Mary Jane Blount who "is said to have married and moved
to Georgia."
William Gray Blount "is reported to have
gone to Georgia ...after the marriage of his sister....But he came back
to N.C. & settled on a farm in Pitt Co....located southeast of Bethel
toward Stokes."
Caroline Carson, b. Jan 10, 1828, d. Oct.
10, 1896, married Wm Gray Blount. She had a bro. Jesse W. Carson
& 2 sisters Christiania & Obedience.

on its face. Could not be turned over. Possibly her husband? No record
of a Clemmie Blount or Jones in this cemetery. Bill
