Robert & Elizabeth Cassady Dillow's Children

(2) Thomas Jefferson Dillow was the oldest son of Robert & Elizabeth Cassady Dillow. He was born May 27, 1837 in Pike County, Kentucky and died April 1, 1925 in Lawrence County, Ohio. Thomas served in the 5th West Virginia Infantry (Union) during the Civil War. He married Sarah Ann Webb daughter of Baker Webb of Lawrence County, Ohio. The couple was wed March 8, 1862 in Lawrence County, Ohio. Thomas fathered one son, Thomas Dillow Jr. born 1857, by Anne Evans. Thomas and wife Sarah had seven children: Robert A., John Milton, Anna L., Annie Dora, Mary E., Jacob B., and Richard W. Thomas was buried in Zoar Cemetery, Lawrence County, Ohio.

(3) Abraham Dillow was the second son of Robert & Elizabeth Cassady Dillow. He was born July 29, 1839 in Pike County, Kentucky and died January 30, 1910 in Lewis County, Kentucky. Abraham served in the 5th West Virginia Infantry(Union) during the Civil War. He married Sarah Ann Hall daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Reece Hall of Greenup County, Kentucky. The couple were wed November 10, 1864 in Boyd County, Kentucky by Reverend Crooks. Abe and Sarah had ten children: Alfred Sheridan, Ulysses Shelby, Willard F., Elizabeth, Ida, Jacob, Sarah, Walter Robert, Henry Herbert, and Clara Ellen. Abraham was buried in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Lewis County, Kentucky.

(4) John C. Dillow was the third son of Robert and Elizabeth Cassady Dillow. He was born April 14, 1843 in Wayne County, Virginia(now WVa). John served in the 14th Kentucky Infantry(Union) during the Civil War. He married Emily Hall daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Reece Hall of Greenup County, Kentucky. The couple wed August 18, 1865 in Greenup County, Kentucky. They had no known children. It is unknown at this time when John died or where he was buried.

(5) George Washington Dillow was the fourth son of Robert and Elizabeth Cassady Dillow. He was born April 14, 1843 in Wayne County, Virginia(now WVa)and died June 17, 1902 in Greenup County, Kentucky. George served in the 5th West Virginia Infantry(Union) during the Civil War. He married Anna Jane Melvin. They wed on March 25, 1862 in Lawrence County, Ohio. George and Anna had twelve children: Elizabeth, Georgeann, Samantha, Minnie, John, Charles Henry, Mary, Bertha, Robert, Florence, Fred William and Phoebe. George was buried in Melvin Cemetery, Greenup County, Kentucky.

(6) Vinson Dillow was the fifth son of Robert & Elizabeth Cassady Dillow. He was born November 4, 1845 in Lawrence County, Ohio and died January 20, 1929 in Carter County, Kentucky. He married Mary Jane Hall daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Reece Hall of Greenup County, Kentucky. The couple wed January 5, 1869 in Lawrence County, Ohio. Vinson and Mary had ten children: Amanda Bell, Jacob, George Thomas, John Vinson, Emma, Edward, William Cicle, Benjamin Harrison, Leve T. and Ollie Mae. Vinson is pictured here with wife Mary and daughter Ollie. Vinson was buried in Arms Cemetery, Carter County, Kentucky.

(7) Stephen Dillow was the sixth son and youngest child of Robert & Elizabeth Cassady Dillow. He was born June 5, 1849 in Greenup County, Kentucky and died December 16, 1911 in Boyd County, Kentucky. He married Caroline Hannah Meadows daughter of Joab and Hannah Minner Meadows of Greenup County, Kentucky. The couple wed in June 1868. Stephen and Caroline had nine children: Missouri Belle, James Addison, Ellen, Ina Belle, Edie, Abraham, Harve Richard, Fred, and Mary Magdalene. Stephen is pictured here with wife Caroline. Stephen was buried in McKinght Price Cemetery, Boyd County, Kentucky.
