Dingman Family Research This web site was created for the sharing of information found on any Dingman family. These are my notes over the last few years and may contain errors. The idea of this web site came about at the Dingman Reunion held last year where much of the Ontario families are known but little to tie them into the United States. The goal is to put together all of us Dingmans into one big family tree. Besides my family line, I have started building the other Dingman family lines that lived in Sanilac and Saint Clair Counties (Michigan) in the 1800s. Anyone, who thinks that his or her families may have lived in this area, I am sure that I may be of assistance to you. My line is fairly complete from Cornelius Dingman, son of John and Catharine Dingman from New York, born in Ontario in 1807. Lived in the Stratford area from the 1830s to 1855 when he came to St. Clair County, Michigan. His first wife was Elizabeth "Mary" Monteith and his second wife was Elizabeth "Eliza" Sparow who was previously married to James Dunsmore. I appreciate any contributions, corrections or ideas on how this site may be of better use to you. As you can tell, I still have much work to do. A search engine for this web site is located below. |
