Funeral services for S.S. Helmer, 62 years old, who died at his home, Virginia and Brownlee streets, Sunday morning were held at the residence at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, with Rev. F. B. Wells officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
Mr. Helmer is survived by his wife and two daughters, Miss Bertha Helmer of Dallas and Mrs. Annie Geick of Chrisman.-Dallas News
Deceased was a resident of this place for many years and moved from here to Dallas several years since. He was a good Christian man, a member of the Baptist church and his old friends here will regret to learn of his death.

HOUSTON POST-DISPATCH: FRIDAY MORNING, DECEMBER 5, 1930

HELMER—Harry [Joseph] H. Helmer, 50 resident of No. 9 Epstein Court, died in a local hospital at 7 p.m. Wednesday. He is survived by his wife: six sons, C.M., J.C., C.E., L.A., O.W., and F.B. Helmer: two daughters Mrs Lena Buff and Miss Annie Lucille Helmer: four brothers J.W., Charlie, W.E., And R.H. Helmer; three sistes, Mrs Ida Roberts, Mrs Lou Meadows [Meador] and Mrs Annie Els [Keng]; his mother Mrs. Lucy Helmer and three grandchildren. The body will be forwarded by Morse Funeral Chapel to Giddings at 9:30 a.m. Friday for burial.

Death Claims John W. Helmer

Funeral services were conducted at Causey this afternoon for John Wesley Helmer, who passed away Sunday at his home in Lingo. W. A. Kerchville was in charge of the service. Interment was made in the Causey Cemetery.

Mr. Helmer, who was born in Columbus, Texas, November 6, 1867, suffered a stroke about 10 years ago, and has been bedfast for the past three years.

In 1890 he married Minnie Ramsel and to the union 4 children were born.

They are L. E. Helmer of Pep, Mrs. Porter Bennett, Stamford Texas; Mrs. Andrew Smith, Portales; and Mrs. Claude Bennett, Anson, Texas. After his first wife passed away, Mr. Helmer married Laura Gimels [Gunnels] in 1906. To this union was born four children, Mrs. George Kizer, Lingo; Mrs. Euel Nelson, of Roswell; Mrs. Bill Kizer, Hiway; and Mrs. Adrain Wood, Portales. Other than his children he is survived by his wife, 16 grandchildren: three brothers, Richard, Charley and Bud Helme [Helmer]; and three sisters, Mrs. Annie Keng, Mrs. Charley Meador and Mrs. John Roberts.

Mrs. Sallie Ann Tisdale
Mrs. Sallie Ann Tisdale, 80, died at her home 4308 Shoalwood Avenue Monday. She was born in Burleson County, Feb. 5, 1868, and Had lived in Austin for the last 20 years. She was a member of the
Methodist Church. The body will Be at the Hyltin Funeral Home untill 9 a.m. Tuesday when it will be taken to Giddings where funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. at the chapel of the Phillips-Luckey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Giddings.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Ollie Helmer of Houston, Mrs L.A.Taylor of San Antonio, Mrs. Minnie Parker, Miss Beulah Willingham, Mrs William Harton, and Mrs A.R. Pape all of Austin, and one son Joel Tisdale, also of Austin.

Mrs. Anna Sarah Keng
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Sarah Keng, 81, were held at the Phillips and Luckey Chapel in Giddings at 2:30 p. m. Sunday March 16, Rev. George Green of Mabank officiating. Interment followed in the Giddings City Cemetery.
Mrs. Keng died Saturday, March 1, at Lee Memorial Hospital. She reached the age of 81 years, 2 months, and 3 days.
She was born in Lee County Jan 12, 1877, daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy Tyndal [Tindle] Helmer. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
In 1897 she was united in marriage with Robert Ewalt Keng. The union was blessed with six children. Her husband proceeded her in death Dec 2, 1906. Three daughters also preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons, R. E. Keng of Galveston, C. E. Keng of Giddings and Leslie Fred of San Antonio: eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers, Charles Helmer of Leuders, Richard Helmer of Dime Box, and William Helmer of Clovis, NM and two sisters, Mrs. Lou Meadors of Bay City and Mrs. Ida Roberts of California.
Pallbearers were Fred Keng, Robert A. Keng, Robert G. Freeman, Arthur Voss, Marvin Carlton, and Earl Helmer.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. S. W. Mantzel, John Longley, Paul Nerger, Oscar Placke, Ed Bage, Herman Loewe, Edwin Grundman and Hershel Doyle.

Mrs. Richard Helmer
Funeral services for Mrs. Richard (Patsy Sophie) Helmer, Sr. of Dime Box were held Thursday at 3:30 in the Phillips and Luckey Chapel with the Rev. Roy Bounds officiating and burial was in the Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Phillips and Luckey Co.
Mrs. Helmer died in Lakeview Nursing Home in Taylor Sunday, 9:25 p.m. after an extended illness.
Born in Lee County March 24,1877 she was a resident of that county all her life. She ws married to Richard E. Helmer April 29, 1895 and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Besides her husband Richard E. Helmer, she is survived by five sons, Sammuel and Richard E. Jr., of Houston, Curtis of Fort Worth, Lloyd [Floyd] of Bryan and Walter A. of Dime Box, and; four daughters, Mrs. Gary Walker, Miss Lola L.Helmer,and Mrs. E. D. Randall of Houston and Mrs. G. E. Jaehne of Bryan; 17 granchildren and 28 great granchildren; three brothers A. A. Brown of Houston, Charley Brown of Texas City and Robert Brown of Bellville.
Serving as pallbearers were Walter A. Helmer Jr., Charles H. Helmer, Richard E. Helmer, III, Curtis Glenn Randall, George E. Jaehne, Jr., J. Harris Joyce, and Clyde Fuqua.

Richard Helmer
Funeral services for Richard E. Helmer, 90, were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 24, at Phillips-Luckey Funeral Home Chapel with D. R. Young of Bryan officiating.
A retired farmer, Mr. Helmer was a native of Lee County who had lived in Dime Box for may years. For the past year and a half he had lived with his daughter Mrs. G. E. Jaehne, 2405 Roundtree Drive, Bryan. He died there at 10 a.m. Thursday.
Survivors include five sons, Sam and Earl of Houston, Walter of Waxahachie, Curtis of Fort Worth and Floyd Helmer of Bryan: four daughters, Mrs. T. O. Walker, Mrs. E. D. Randall and Miss Lola Helmer of Houston and Mrs. Jaehne of Bryan: one brother and two sisters; 17 granchildren and 20 great granchildren.
Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery and serving as pallbearers were, George E. Jaehne, Jr. Richard E. Helmer III, Walter A. Helmer, Jr., Curtis Randall, Charles H. Helmer, Harris Joyce and Clyde Tuequa.

William E Helmer

Services for William E. Helmer former Roswell resident will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Ballard Chapel. Burial will follow in South Park Cemetery.

Mr. Helmer died Friday at Chandler Ariz., and his body was returned to Roswell, Sunday Afternoon.

Survivors include his wife Pearl Helmer, also of Chandler, three sons, Willard of Portales, W. C. Helmer of Gilbert, Ariz., And Cecil E. Helmer of Fort Worth, Texas; one stepson, Buck Ogwin of Gilbert, Ariz.

And six daughter.

Daughters are Mrs. Pearl Murry, Stockton, Calif. Mrs. Hazel Nesbeth, Stockton, Calif.; Miss Nellie M. Helmer, San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Doris Chatman, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Alma Lou Golmore, Albuquerque, and Mrs. Waldene Merceri, Feeding Hill, Mass.

Arrangements are by Ballard Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Floyd Helmer of 411 Eden Lane will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday in the Hillier Chapel. Mr. Helmer, 67, died Tuesday

The Rev. D. R. Young of College Heights Assembly of God and the Rev. R. L. Rhodes of the Assembly of God Church will officiate. Burial will be in the New Dime Box Cemetery.

Mr. Helmer was born in Giddings Feb 8, 1902, and had resided in Brazos County for 21 years. He was a member of the College Heights Assembly of God Church and a retired life insurance salesman.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Clyde Fuqua and Mrs. Hugh Colley, both of Bryan, and Mrs. William Arnold of Austin; two brothers Curtis Helmer of Fort Worth and R. E. Helmer of Houston; four sisters Mrs. Ola Pearl Walker, Miss Lola Helmer and Mrs. Prescilla Randall all of Houston, and Mrs. G. E. Jaehne of Bryan; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be R. E. Helmer Jr., Charles Helmer, Walter A. Helmer, George Jaehne Jr., Harvey Cox and J. C. Dworsky, Mr. Helmer's nephews

Charles M. Helmer

Charles M. Helmer, 76, 308 26th St. in Bryan, died Friday evening in a local hospital.

Services for Mr. Helmer will be 3 p. m. today at Hillier Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Bryan Cemetery with the Rev Joseph Frazer, pastor of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church officiating.

Helmer was born in Giddings and was a resident of Bryan for the last 30 years. A retired auto mechanic with Beal Ford Co. in Bryan, Helmer was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Sons of Herman Loge 99 and the Sheriff's Association of Texas. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a member of VFW Post 4692 in Bryan.

Helmer is survived by his wife, Irene Helmer of Bryan; his brother Frank Helmer of Houston; two sisters, Annie Jones of Houston, and Lena Buff of Wharton; and four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
