If you have not visited since the site was first created, you may notice that I have changed the layout and the manner in which some of the Registers are listed. For the moment I will leave items 1 & 2 above as they are currently listed. When I have time, I will try to re-enter them in the new format.

I am trying to get as close to the format of the original as I am able (size of page allowing). It may be necessary however to abbreviate some of the entries, such as if a person has got a 'second' name, otherwise the column layout will become too irregular, for example, an entry will not fit on one line in any cell/column and it will 'wrap' onto the next line. I will always try however to preserve essential information.

The 'file size' on 1 & 2 above is also too large, if I kept on using the that method of entry the files would have got bigger and bigger and the download time would get longer. Therefore (thanks to a suggestion made by John Palmer [The Wirksworth Parish Site] I have changed to a different method of entry that has reduced the size of each file as well. In making these changes, I have tried to 'group' together several years of each Register. For example 'Baptisms 1816, 1817, 1818, 1819 & 1820' have now ended up as one file.  Thanks for being kind enough to read this, I am learning as I go along.

Again, I thank those folks who have made helpful suggestions to me, as a beginner at this, especially John Palmer and Jane McHugh.
