        1.  William Jackson Lee Sr. was born July 10, 1805, and died July 1849 in Gwinnett
            County Ga.
           
            after being shot to death by a brother. 
            Co., Ga..  He married Sarah__ Abt. 1823 in Georgia.

            Private, Company D, 1st Confederate  Regiment/Company H, 2nd Regiment Georgia   
            Cavalry. (Magruder Dragoons)
            He lived in DeKalb County and worked as a stone cutter before the war.
            On March 8, 1861, Lee enlisted at Stone Mountain as a private for 12 months duty  
            in Villepique's Battalion which later became the 1st Confederate Regiment.
              
            At the end of the year's service, he mustered out in Mobile, Alabama, returning
            to Atlanta to enroll on April 27, 1862 as a private in the 2nd Georgia Cavalry. 
            Mustered out again into Confederate service on May 7 at Camp Ector near Griffin,
            Lee received an enlistment bounty of $50, plus $175 valuation for his horse. 
            He remained on duty for the balance of the war and surrendered with his command   
            in April 1865 in North Carolina.

            After the war, he resumed his occupation as a stone cutter in Stone Mountain
            Ga. W. J. Lee died on June 9, 1907 at age 74.

          Green Berry Lee was released by the Union Army at Vicksburg, Miss on July 7, 1863,
          left for home, but never made it.

          Rebecca (Peters) Lee at home with her son Wm Andrew Lee age 19 and her sister,       
          Mary Adeline Peters, age 62.
