Lawson A. Bettis, 90, Dies Tuesday Lawson Anderson Bettis, 90, of Albia died Tuesday at the home of a son, Floyd Bettis, Rte 5, Albia. He was born March 22, 1874, in Monroe County, the son of Lawson Anderson Bettis Sr. and Elizabeth Fazel bettis. He lived all his life in this county. Surviving are two sons, Floyd and Marsh Bettis of Albia; nine grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and five grear-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, the former Elnor Estlack, who died April 21, 1941, two sisters and six brothers. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at first Methodist Church with pastor, the Rev. Henry Hackman, officiating. Burial will be in Oakview Cemetery. . . |

near Hiteman, where she lived the past 39 years, aged 65 years,
one month and 18 days. |
