Obituary for Zella May Rogers Douglas

Mrs. Merle Douglas of Albia died Sunday at Monroe County Hospital.
Mrs. Douglas, 74, was the former Zella May Rogers. She was born March 19, 1890, in Monroe County, the daughter of Joel Rogers and Letha Martin Rogers. She was a life-long resident of Monroe County.
She was married 24 December, 1916 at Albia.
Surviving are a son, Lyle Douglas of Albia; a daughter, Mrs. Velda Harper of Royal Oak, Mich; seven grandsons, three granddaughters; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Pat Rogers and Lyle Rogers of Albia; and a sister, Mrs. Velma Gamble of Des Moines.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Downs Memorial Chapel. The Rev. John Patterson will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant corners Cemetery.
