This Indenture made this 25th day of December in the year of Our Lord 1830 between Drewery
Smith of the one part and George Dowdy of the other part both of the State of Kentucky and
Hickman County witnesseth that the said Drewry Smith hath this day Bargained sold and
delivered unto George Dowdy for and in consideration of the sum of Six hundred dollars by him
to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged a certain tract of land whereon the
said Smith and said Dowdy is both now living it being the north part quarter of Section Thirty
Five Township one Range four west containing one hundred and sixty acres be the same more or
less situate and lying in the county and State aforesaid and in markers of Mud Creek Bounded as
follows "to wit" South by Austen S. Tylers land which is a part of the same section west by
Dorian Owens and Jeremiah Barakins lands north by Mason Browns and East by William
Hammonds land and I the said Drewery Smith do hereby Bond myself my heirs executors
administrators and assigns forever to warrant and defend the above Bargained promises with
every appurtenance thereto Belonging on and in every wise appertaining unto the above named
tract of land unto the said George Dowdy his heirs and assigns to have and to hold in free and
peaceable possession from and against any person or claim whatever. In witness thereof I the said
Drewery Smith do hereunto set my hand and seal this day and year first above written.
