My genealogy home page is dedicated to the memory of my grandmother, Bessie Troop Miller Jacobs, the woman who planted the seed of interest in our family's history within my heart. That tiny seed has burst forth into an ever-blooming rosebush whose roots have grown in Pennsylvania in the counties of Berks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster and Lebanon, and in Delaware in the county of New Castle, with many branching stems and new buds to replace the fading blooms of yesterday. The delight in genealogy for me is finding those long-forgotten roses pressed between the pages of old books. Oh, by the way, the baby in the above photo was both a new bud and a fading bloom. She was my grandmother. I invite you to spend some time among my roses, and perhaps you will find a bloom or two to add to your bouquet of ancestors.
