Notes for HANNAH HIGGINS:
Old Crawford County by Chris H. Bailey The Higgins Family Part 29
Hannah died in Crawford County and was buried in the cemetery on her father's farm, now called Seaney cemetery. The date on her tombstone is wrong as it says she died in August 9, 1859 aged about 50 years. We have record of Hannah and Robert both still living in June 1860. So she could not have died in August 1859. Also, she would not have been 50 years old until about 1867. Her day and month of death must be correct but, the year must have been 1860 or perhaps as late as 1867. This type of error often occurs when children come back years later and erect a stone with dates obtained from memory.
