LAMBETH.
James Spanswick, a ticket of leave man, was examined before Mr. Elliott on a charge of being found loitering about for dishonest purposes.
The prisoner called his sister and other witnesses to prove that he had been earning an honest living since his discharge; but in this they failed, and
Mr. Elliott sentenced him to three months hard labour, observing that there could be no doubt that his intention was to commit felonies.
