ARSON AND WILFUL BURNING.
WHITEHALL, July 8th, 1831.

Whereas it hath been humbly represented unto the King, That, on the evening of Monday, the 4th day of July instant, the Stacks of Hay, belonging to Mr. Thomas Hartshorn, at Ashborne, in the county of Derby, standing adjoining the Turnpike Road leading from thence to Leek, were wilfully and feloniously set on Fire, by some evil-disposed person or persons unknown:
His Majesty, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the persons concerned in the Felony before mentioned, is hereby pleased to promise His most gracious Pardon to any one of them (except the person who actually set Fire to the said Stacks) who shall discover his Accomplice or Accomplices therein, so that he, she, or they, may be apprehended and convicted thereof.
And, as a further encouragement, a Reward of Three Hundred Pounds is hereby offered to any person (except as aforesaid) who shall discover the said offender or offenders, so that he, she, or they, may be apprehended and convicted of the said offence.- One Hundred Pounds of such Reward to be paid by the Right Honourable the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury�; and Two Hundred Pounds by Mr. Hartshorn.

WHITEHALL, June 14th, 1831.

Whereas it hath been humbly represented unto the King, that, about half past eleven o'clock on the night of Thursday the 2d day of June instant, a barn and lodge, and a quantity of oats and straw, on Nunningham Farm, in Herstmonceux, near Battle, in the county of Sussex, were wilfully and maliciously set on fire and destroyed by some evil-disposed person or persons unknown.
His Majesty, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the persons concerned in the Felony before mentioned, is hereby pleased to promise His most gracious Pardon to any one of them (except the person who actually set Fire to the said Barn) who shall discover his Accomplice or Accomplices therein, so that he, she, or they may be apprehended and convicted thereof.
And, as a further encouragement, a Reward of Three Hundred Pounds is hereby offered to any person (except as aforesaid) who shall discover the said offender or offenders, so that he, she, or they may be apprehended and convicted of the said offence.- One hundred pounds of such reward to be paid by the Right Honourable the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury, and Two Hundred Pounds by Mr. Thomas Charles Bellingham, Clerk to the Magistrates, Battle.

Whereas it hath been humbly represented unto the King, that, on the evening of Monday the 6th day of June instant, the buildings standing on a farm called Berensgrove, in the parish of Rainham, in the county of Kent, were wilfully and maliciously set on fire by some evil-disposed person or persons unknown, whereby two barns (containing about sixty quarters of wheat, and the same quantity of beans), two lodges, and two stables, together with other farm premises, were entirely consumed:
His Majesty, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the persons concerned in the Felony before mentioned, is hereby pleased to promise His most gracious Pardon to anyone of them (except the person who actually set Fire to the said Premises) who shall discover his Accomplice or Accomplices therein, so that he, she, or they, may be apprehended and convicted thereof.
And, as a further encouragement, a Reward of One Hundred Pounds is hereby offered by the Right Honourable the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury, and a further Reward of Two Hundred Pounds by the inhabitants of the parish of Rainham, to any person (except as aforesaid) who shall discover the said offender or offenders, so that he, she, or they, may be apprehended and convicted thereof.

Whereas it hath been humbly represented unto the King, That, on the morning of Tuesday. the 7th day of June inst., a plantation or cover, in the parish of Prees, near Whitchurch, in the county of Salop. the property of Sir Rowland Hill, Bart., was wilfully and maliciously set on fire by some evil-disposed person or persons unknown:
His Majesty, for the better apprehending and bringing to justice the persons concerned in the Felony before mentioned, is hereby pleased to promise His most gracious Pardon to anyone of them (except the person who actually set Fire to the said plantation) who shall discover his Accomplice or Accomplices therein, so that he, she, or they, may be apprehended and convicted thereof.
And, as a further encouragement, a Reward of One Hundred Pounds is hereby offered to any person by the Right Honourable the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury, and a further Reward of One Hundred Guineas by Sir Rowland Hill, to any person (except as aforesaid) who shall discover the said offender or offenders, so that he, she, or they, may be apprehended and convicted of the said offence.

HOUSE-BREAKING.

The following is a more accurate Description of the Property Stolen on Tuesday afternoon, the 19th inst., between the hours of three and five o'clock, from the Shop of Mr. Palmer, Watchmaker, No. 58,�Great Marylebone-street, viz. - One Gold Watch, double bottom. engine-turned, seconds, lever escapement, jewelled in eight holes, gold dial, and chiseled edge; one Gold double bottomed engine-turned Watch, gold dial-plate, lever escapement, jewelled in six holes, and seconds: one Gold double bottomed engine turned Watch, gold dial plate, lever escapement, and jewelled in six holes: the maker's name to each of the said Watches, is 'John Palmer, Great Marylebone-street.' Also, one Gold Dome Lady's engine-turned Watch, a silver dial-plate. horizontal escapement, and jewelled in four holes. The robbery was effected by breaking a square of glass; the Shop had been left in charge of the servant Girl. who never quitted it till her Master's return, when the robbery was discovered.- [See Hue and Cry, of the 20th instant.]
Between the hours often o'clock on the night of the 21st instant, and the morning of the 22d instant, the Dwelling-house of John Davis, No.1, Cock Hill, Bethnal Green. Journeyman Weaver, was entered, and Thirty Yards of Velvet, value Twenty-five pounds. the property of Messrs. Fox and Bailey, of Honey Lane Market, Stolen therefrom.
Stolen. from the House of Mr. Seasons, No. 33. Seymour-street. a Silver Watch, maker's name' Thomas Cook, Oakham.' with the initials' J.S.' engraved on the outside case. - By a Man, who made an entry into the back parlour, by forcing two locks, during the time the Servant was showing the lodgings, in the absence of Mr. and Mrs. Seasons, to a Man, accompanied by a Woman, both respectable in appearance, where they remained for some time measuring the windows for curtains; and, it is supposed, that while the servant was thus engaged, the said robbery was effected.




HORSE AND CATTLE STEALING.

On Wednesday, the 20th instant, Mr. Clarke, of Park-place, East-street, Walworth, left a Horse and Cart in charge of a Boy, near the Pump in High-street, Norton-Falgate, and went into the Shop of Mr. Gardner, he remained about ten minutes, and upon coming out, found the Boy had decamped with the Horse and Cart.- The Cart contained a light drab Box Coat with capes, a Reticule Basket, two bottles of Spirits, thirty quires of Glass Paper, and other articles.- The Boy was about fifteen or sixteen years of age, five feet three inches high, and was dressed in a dirty smock frock and fustian trousers. The Horse and Cart have since been found, but the great Coat has not.
Stolen, on Monday night, the 18th instant. out of a Piece of Ground, belonging to Mr. William Shorthouse, at Moseley, an aged Bright Bay Gelding, about fifteen hands and a half high, with cut tail. white saddle mark on the near side, and black legs, also a large blemish on the fetlock joint on the near fore leg, and the hair rubbed off.- Whoever will give such information to the said Mr. W. Shorthouse. the Constable of King's Norton, or to Mr. Redfern, at the Public Office, Birmingham, as may lead to the apprehension of the offender or offenders. shall, upon conviction, receive Ten Guineas Reward, from Mr. P. M. James, - the Treasurer of the King's Norton and Moseley Association for the Prosecution of Felons.
Stolen, on Tuesday night, the 19th instant, from Blaxhall, in the county of Suffolk, a Black Gelding, eight years old, about fifteen hands high, has good eyes, the off hind foot white, cut tail, and in good condition for work. Also, a Bright Bay Pony, four years old, thirteen hands high, has good eyes, switch tail, in good condition, and the off fore foot is a little swelled, having been recently sprained. The property of Eden Tyler.- Information to be given to James King, Constable, Saxmundham.
Stolen, on Wednesday night, the 20th instant, or early the following morning, from the Village of Wisborough Green, in Sussex, a dark Chesnut Mare, with two or three small white spots on the near side, bushy mane (inclined to fall on the near side), switch tail, about fourteen hands high, and about nine years old.- The Property of Mr. William Saunders.
Stolen or strayed from a field belonging to Mr. W. Turner, at Birmingham Heath. near Birmingham, on the night of Wednesday, July 20th instant, a bright Bay Cob, about nine years old, about fifteen hands high, black legs, near hind fetlock white. white strip on the face, beautiful black mane, and short tail; tips on his feet, when in the field; his off fetlock and left hock, above the Joint, have a scar upon them, occasioned by all old bruise from a halter: also, a Bay Colt, fifteen hands high, slouched ears, three years old, long main and tail; and a Dark Grey Galloway four years old, with long mane and tail. If stolen, whoever will give such information as will lead to the apprehension of the offender or offenders, shall upon conviction receive Twenty Guineas Reward; if strayed, any person restoring the horses, or giving information of them. shall be handsomely rewarded for their trouble, and all expences paid, on application to Hammond, Turner and Sons, Snow-hill, or to Mr. Redfern, Public-Office, Birmingham.
Found, on Thursday, the 14th instant, in the neighbourhood of Devonport, in the possession of a party of Gipsies, the following Property, supposed to have been Stolen, viz. -Twelve Horses, one Donkey, and one young Mule; also, one Silver Watch, No. 3049, the maker's name erased with a file; the last persons who appear to have repaired the said Watch are Samuel Tyte, Warminster; and James Snelling, Newton Abbott. One large Silver Ladle, with crest, a Wheatsheaf; two Silver Tea-pots, one of which has a silver handle. Besides a great quantity of miscellaneous Articles; found in a Car, marked 'Peter Hicks, Brimpton, Berks, Rat Catcher' The three Men have given their names PETER HICKS, WILLIAM BELCHER, and THOMAS STANLEY.- Information to be given to James Day, peace officer, Town Hall, Devonport.
Supposed to be Stolen, by a man named JOHN DYER, (who has since Absconded), from Hemel Hempstead, a light coloured Chesnut Horse, with switch tail, long mane, blind of the off eye, about fourteen hands high, aged, collar marked on both shoulders, a white star on the forehead, white saddle marks, and marks of the bridle on each side of' the head under the ears.
Stopped, by the Constable of Laindon, near Billericay. supposed to have been Stolen, a dark Brown Mare, aged, about fifteen hands high, with black legs, both hind heels white, short cut tail, a mark from the collar on the off shoulder, a large white saddle mark on the near side, and a small one on the off side, also rather thick in the wind.- The Mare was in the possession of two suspicious characters, one of whom decamped, the other is in custody�.-Application to be made to Mr. William Curtis, Constable, of Billericay, Essex.
Two Boy's were stopped, at Brentford, by a Police Constable of the T Division, with an Ass in their possession, which they confessed to have Stolen from the neighbourhood of Oxford. The Ass is a very fine one, and long in the back.- The Boys are remanded for a week.
Stolen, early on Saturday morning, the 9th instant, from a Field, at Brook Farm, near Westbury, Wilts, in the occupation of Anna Hooper, a Dark Brown Gelding, fourteen hands and a half high, three years old, a white stripe down, the face, and switch tail lately docked. The property of Mr. Stephen Noad, of Brook Mill.- Whoever will give such information as shall lead to the conviction of the offender or offenders, shall receive Five Pounds Reward, on application to the said Mr. Noad.
On Saturday morning, the 16th instant, a Horse and Chaise were obtained, under false pretences, by a Man, representing himself to be Mr. Grey, residing at No.2, Devonshire street, Portland-place.- The Stanhope is lined with drab, painted green and black, and has on the caps of the wheels , 'E. Prince, Harcourt-street.' Furniture on the Brass Harness, with brass rosette on the Bridle, and a small silver horse's head in the centre. A Bay Mare, with white legs and face, switch tail, fifteen bands one inch high. The property of Mr. Jerromes, Livery Stable Keeper, Upper Montague-street, Montague-square.- The person had on a black surtout coat, is about five feet seven inches high, and a scar on his lip not healed. The Mare is very much puffed in the near front leg.- Any person giving such information as may lead to the conviction of the offender, will be handsomely Rewarded.
Stolen, on Monday night, the 11th instant, or early on the following morning, from a Field, in the occupation of Mr. Bryant, of Walham Green, and of Dacre-street, Westminster, a red and white spotted Cow, of the Aldarney Breed. Information to be given at the Police Station, New-way, Westminster.
Stolen, on Friday night, the 8th instant, or early the following morning, out of a Field, belonging to Mrs. Wilde, of Hodnet, in the county of Salop, a Brown light Cart Mare, aged, fifteen hands high, blaze down the forehead, near fore fetlock white, grey below the knees, the near knee has been broken, white leg behind, and a switch tail.- Fifty Pounds Reward will be paid by the Hodnet Association for the Prosecution of Felons, on the apprehension and conviction of the offender or offenders.
Stolen or Strayed, on Saturday afternoon, the 2nd inst., about five o'clock, from Union-terrace, Camden-town, a Chesnut Horse, with brass-mounted Harness, and a Cart, newly painted green picked out with black. The property of John Brown, No. 104. Great Titchlield-street; whose name and address were written on the bottom rail of the off side.
Stolen, on the night of the 26th ultimo, or early the following morning, from a Sheep Ground, on Willersey Hill, in the parish of Willersey, a Dark Brown Mare, three years old: also a Bay Filly, one year old. The property of John Staite, of the parish of Broadway, in the county of Worcester,- Whoever will give such information as shall lead to the conviction of the offender or offenders. shall, upon such conviction, receive Ten Pounds Reward, from the said John Staite.- The three-year old Mare has a brown muzzle, with a broad star in the forehead, and a little white across the ham of the near bind leg. The Filly has a large white blaze down the forehead, two white heels behind, and is unshod.- The offender or offenders entered the ground with a Horse and Gig, as the tracks of the Gig with the foot marks of the Filly, were traced for two miles on the Honeybourne and Bidford Road.
Stolen or Strayed, from the parish of Charlton Kings, near Cheltenham, on the 15th ultimo, a Bay Mare, fifteen hands high, half-bred. three years old, long tail, with a star in her forehead, near hind fetlock white, three or four warts near the flank, and some spots on the off hip.- Whoever will give information that may lead to the recovery of the Mare and conviction of the offender or offenders, shall receive Five Pounds Reward, by applying to W. Painter, of Charlton Kings.
On Tuesday, the 28th ultimo, a Man of respectable appearance, applied for and obtained, at Clark's Livery Stables, Saint John-street, Clerkenwell, a Saddle Horse, on hire for the day, giving his address in the neighbourhood, The Horse has not been returned since, and the address given is found to be false,- It is a lightish Grey Horse, six years old, with small head, full mane, and switch tail; is remarkably short in his back, about half-bred, and has a little hair on the far hind leg.
On Saturday, the 2nd instant, about eleven o'clock in the forenoon, a Gentleman left in the care of a Boy, in Chancery-lane, a Dark Chesnut Horse, about fifteen hands and a half high, with an old Saddle and a double Bridle on.- The Boy and Horse were both found missing shortly afterwards - The Boy appeared to belong to some Charity School, and was dressed in a long blue coat, and had a round face, rather marked with the small-pox.
On Sunday, the 3rd instant, a Horse and Chaise were obtained, from the Stables of C. Whatman, of the White Lion, Chatham, by a respectable looking Man, to go to Cranbrook, Kent, and has not heen since heard of - The Chaise was fresh painted green, lined with blue cloth, of old make, and was drawn by a light Bay Mare, with black legs, a white fetlock on the near hind leg, a star on the forehead, blind of the near eye, about fourteen hands and a half high, six years old, and had on brass-mounted Harness with Crest.- Three Guineas Reward will be given to any person who will give such information as may lead to the conviction of the offender and recovery of the property. Information to be given to C. Pattison, Constable, Chatham.
Stolen, on Wednesday, the 6th instant, from a Field, at Allweston, near Sherborne, a mottled Grey Mare, of the Cart Kind, and aged. The Mare was safe in the Field at ten o'clock on the preceding night.- Whoever will give information that will lead to the conviction of the offender or offenders and recovery of the Mare, shall receive Five Pounds Reward, from Mary Pope, of Allweston.
On Friday morning, the 1st instant, a Man, about. thirty years of age, five feet five or six inches high, of dark complexion, had on a blue frock coat and black trousers, Hired at Birch's Livery Stables, Chapel-street, South Audley-street, to go as far as Finchley, a Bay Horse, aged, fifteen hands one inch and a half high, has a small piece of white on the forehead, and also on the off hind leg, and has not yet returned it.




LARCENY.

Stolen, on Tuesday evening, the 19th instant, between seven and ten o'clock, from the Dwelling-house of Mr. Watson, No.6, Pulteney Terrace, White Conduit Fields, the following articles, his property. viz.- One plain Silver Teapot, with black handle; one Gold Watch, maker's name 'Gale,' with Gold Chain, two Seals, and a Key, attached; one seal, with cornelian stone, and' 'W.' engraved thereon; one Brooch, set with paste, and ruby stone: one Silver Knife; one pair of small Gold Ear-rings; a Silver Pencil-case: and various other articles. Also, two Sovereigns. By MARGARET LEWIS (who has absconded), a Servant to the said Mr. Watson. She is rather short in stature, has a very pale complexion, and black hair. She took all her own clothes, and left a skeleton key and an empty box.
ABRAHAM .JACOB ANTELL, Son of Jacob Antell, Orange Merchant, in the Borough Market, has Absconded, and Stolen from the said Jacob Antell the sum of Twenty-two pounds. The following is a description of his person, viz.- About five feet six inches high, of dark complexion, stout made, his face very scorbutic, and is about twenty years of age; was dressed in a fustian jacket and trousers, and a black cap. He is supposed to have gone to Bromley, in Kent.
On Thursday, the 7th instant, THOMAS THOMPSON, a Carrier between Hull and Alburgh, Yorkshire, absconded with Fifty-five Sovereigns, the monies of Mr. Haine, of Holderness Inn. near the North Bridge, Hull.- The said THOMAS THOMPSON is about five feet nine inches high, fifty-eight years of age, sallow complexion, light hair (inclined to grey), flat nose, thick lips, high cheek bones, square whiskers, walks very fast, but lame with the right leg, his knee being bent outwards: he was dressed in a fustian shooting coat, drab black and yellow striped waistcoat, black velveteen breeches, blue stockings, drab gaiters with brass buttons, and shoes.- Information to be given to John Grossmith, constable, Union Hall.
On Saturday morning. the 16th instant, the Workshop of Mr. Thomas Preston, in Union-street, Borough, was broken and entered, and a quantity of Carpenter's Tools Stolen therefrom.- A Man was observed carrying a basket of Carpenter's Tools, early the same morning, in the City, who was seen drinking the previous night in a public-house near the Shop; and, from his dress, has the appearance of a carpenter: he is known to some of the Police, by the name of TYLER.
Stolen, from a Cupboard, in the back parlour of No. 31, Wilton-street, Pimlico, by MARY SAUNDERS, who is about eighteen years of age, and of middle stature, a Silver Watch, with a Metal Ring and Key attached to it by a dirty red ribbon.-The property of James Greenhalgh.
On Monday, the 11th instant, JOHN WESTERWAY Absconded with Cash and other property, belonging to his employer, Mr. Rawlings, of Nassau-street, Middlesex Hospital.- He is about thirty years of age, five feet four inches high, of dark complexion, has a round and rather large face, and a short neck; stands upright, he is active, and corpulent, and is known in the sporting world as a wrestler; by trade a tallow chandler, and has lately worked in that line in Drury-lane: he is supposed to be a native of Exeter. Whoever will apprehend or give such information as may be the means of apprehending the said offender, shall receive Five Pounds Reward, by applying to G. Avis, at Marlborough-street Office; or to the said Mr. J. Rawlings.




MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATIONS.

Description of a Man, who has escaped from New South Wales, and is supposed to be a convict: - It is stated, that about five days after the Ship"Royal Admiral" left Sidney, the said Man was found concealed in the Ship. He said his Name was WILLIAM CHURCHILL, that he was by trade a Tailor, and had carried on business in O'Connell Street, Sidney, where his circumstances had become embarrassed, and that he had concealed himself in the Ship to avoid his creditors. He was brought home in the Ship as a Prisoner. and on her arrival at Northfleet, on Saturday, he effected his escape. He is about twenty-six years of age, sallow complexion, has light hair, and appeared to be care-worn; he has two small blue lines below his right eye; is about five feet seven and a half inches high, and says he is a native of Morden, in Herefordshire. He had on when he left the Ship, a blue coat with bright buttons, black waistcoat. drab mixture trousers. white shirt, black silk handkerchief, but was without a hat, shoes, or stockings.
Escaped from the Gaol of Bideford, in the county of Devon, on the morning of Monday, the 4th instant, WILLIAM BIRD, convicted at the Bideford Midsummer Quarter Sessions, on Monday, the 27th day of June last, of feloniously stealing a pig, and sentenced to six months' imprisonment.- The said WILLIAM BIRD has light hair, large light eyes, long visage, fair complexion, is about thirty-eight years of age, five feet seven inches in height, and is awkward in his walk. He wore at the time of his escape a light fustian jacket, cord breeches and gaiters, and a light waistcoat, and is supposed to have gone to Bristol.
Escaped, on Tuesday afternoon, the 28th ultimo, from the Borough Gaol of Leicester, the following Prisoners, viz. THOMAS WILLIAMSON, Aged fifty years, five feet seven inches high, long florid face, much pock-marked, hazel eyes, dark brown hair; by trade a gardener; had on a blue jacket with light fustian sleeves, fustian cord breeches, grey worsted stockings, and blue and white cotton handkerchief round his neck with a patch of darker coloured cotton. - THOMAS SLACK. Aged eighteen years, about five feet two inches high, dark eyes and complexion, freckled, and light brown hair; he had on a blue coat, light fustian trousers, black waistcoat. and new laced boots; by trade a framework-knitter.-GEORGE WHITE. Aged twenty-two years, five feet six inches high, fair complexion, light hair, and grey eyes; had on a light-coloured jacket, fustian trousers, and Wellington boots; by trade a plasterer. He is supposed to be gone near Cavendish-Bridge: the other two on the other side Ashby-de-Ia-Zouch.- Whoever will apprehend the said Prisoners, and lodge them in any of His Majesty's Gaols, shall receive a Reward of Five Guineas each, from Mr.Owston, Keeper of Leicester Gaol; any information respecting them, addressed to Mr. Owston, or the Chief Constable, Leicester, will be thankfully received.




PROPERTY STOLEN.

On the night of the 12th instant, between six and seven o'clock, some person entered the Shop of Mr. Cooper, of Belmont Place, Wandsworth Road, and stole therefrom a Silver Watch, capped and jewelled, maker's name' Francis Putley, London, No. 2337'; together with a double Steel Chain, two Gold Seals, and one Key; one of the Seals has the initials' T.C.' upon it, with crest a Wheatsheaf.- Information to be given to John Newcomb, Union Hall.
Stolen, from the person of Mr. Low, of No.9, Leicester-place, Albany-road, Camberwell, in a House of Ill fame, a Watch, and three or four Sovereigns.- Mr. Low being in a state of intoxication at the time of the robbery, cannot satisfactorily state the house where it was committed, although accompanied by the Police; nor does he know the number of the Watch, or in what manner he was robbed.
Found, in the possession of WILLIAM JONES (now in custody), one Silk Handkerchief, yellow ground with black and red flowers, and yellow flowers on a red boarder, marked 'I.P.A.'
Stolen, on Tuesday morning, the 19th instant, from the House of Mr. Butcher, No.3, Cottage Grove, Mile End Road, the following articles, viz, - Silver: two Table-spoons, one Gravy-spoon, and two Tea-spoons, marked 'J.A.B.'; five Tea-spoons, 'J.E.R.'; one Dessert-spoon, 'G.A.B.'; and two Table-spoons, plain. Also, two Jackets, one Hat, and a small Money-box.
On Tuesday night, the 19th instant, about half past ten o'clock. some person broke into the first floor front room of the 'Duke of York' Public-house. in New York Street, Bethnal Green Road. kept by John Setzer, and Stole therefrom-twelve Sovereigns, and five Pounds in Silver; seven Silver Tea-spoons, and two ditto Table-spoons, marked 'I.M.S.' - A Party. who were in the Tap-room, are supposed to have committed the robbery.
Stolen, on Thursday morning, the 21st instant, from the person of Thomas Smith, at the Lyceum Shades, in the Strand, a Silver Hunting Watch, with the names 'Thomas Smith and A.T. Wornall,' engraved on the outside case; maker's name 'Scott, Bell-yard, Temple-bar.' - Information to be given to Mr. Smith, No.46, Newgate-street.
Stolen, on Thursday morning, the 21st instant, from the person of Mr. John Bayley, at a Public-house, in the Old Bailey, a single-cased Gold Watch, the outside case is bruised, the hands did not match each other; with a black ribbon, to which was attached a plain Gold Key. with a red cornelian stone.- Information to be given to Mr. Bayley, Globe Tavern, Bow-road.
Stolen, on Friday, the 22d instant, from the Counting-house of Mrs. Wells, No.2, Saint Alban's Place, Saint James,- one Fifty-pound Bank Note, numbered either 1473. dated 2nd June 1831; 2012, dated 2nd June 1831; or 765, dated 31st May 1831. Also, one Ten-pound and one Five-pound Bank Note; and three Bills of Exchange, one for Eighty Pounds, one for Thirty Pounds, and one for Twenty Pounds.
On Thursday evening, the 21st instant, about six o'clock, two Young- Men went into the Shop of Mr. Baldwin, Butcher, in John's-row, Saint Luke. under pretence of buying Meat. There was only a little Girl in the Shop at the time, and, while one of them was talking to her, the other walked into the parlour, and Stole a Silver Watch (maker's name 'Stroud'). and also a Time-piece.- The Time-piece was picked up by a little Girl, in President-street, King's-square, and returned to Mr .Baldwin.
