Whitehall, June 15.
AN humble Address to His Majesty, from the Governour, Council, and Assembly of Barbadoes; And,
An humble Address to His Majesty from the Council and Assembly of Barbadoes, have been transmitted hither by Henry Worsely, Esq; Governour of that Island.

Stockholm, May 29. This Morning the Dalecarlian Peasant who was most bold in justifying the late Proceedings of his Brethren about their Memorial, was sentenced to a three Years Imprisonment in the Castle of Malstrand, and it ia said that other Peasants concerned in that Affair will also receive their Sentence this Week, some of them 'tis thought will loose their Heads. The Prince of Hesse, his Swedish Majesty's Brother arrived here the 27th Instant. The cold Weather has hitherto occasioned the Court to continue in this City, but now 'tis said, their Majesties are resolv'd to remove next Week to Carlberg.
Lisbon, June 6, N.S. Yesterday being the Birth-Day of his Royal Highness the Prince of Brazil, who then entered into the Tenth Year of his Age, he received the usual Compliments of the Nobility and Foreign Ministers upon that Occasion. On the 14th of next Month, the Prince Dom Francisco is to entertain the Court with a Bull-Feast, and Scaffolds are now building before the Palace for that Purpose. Several Ships being lately arrived here from England and Sicily with Wheat, the Price is grown more moderate than it has been for some time past, and the Country is no longer under Apprehension of the Want of Corn this Summer.
Madrid, June 7. The Marquess Balbi Envoy from Genoa, has had his Audience of Leave of their Catholick Majesties and the Prince and Princess of Asturias, designing to set out from hence the Middle of this Month on his Return home by Way of France. Their Majesties set out for Balsain the 31st past at Four a-Clock in the Morning, and arrived there the same Day; the Prince and Princess of Asturias, with the Infantes, set out likewise from hence and arrived the same Day at the Escurial. On the 2d Instant in the Morning the Marquess de Bedmar died here suddenly in the 72d Year of his Age; he was Knight of the Order of the Holy Ghost, Grandee of Spain, President of the Council of Military Orders, and First Minister at War ; his Family Estate and Dignity descend to his only Daughter, married to the Marquis de Moya. The Intendant Patino has sent Word from Cadiz, that the Fleet bound to New-Spain will in all Likelihood be ready to put to Sea before the End of this Month; but by Reason the Merchants lade in their Goods very slowly, 'tis believed some of the Ships will stay behind empty.
Turin, June 9. His Sardinian Majesty has been pleased to appoint the Abbot Delmare, formerly his Embassadour at the Court of Spain and Rome, to be Viceroy of Sardinia. It is reported that the Marquiss Del Bourg, his Majesty's Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs has desired to resign by Reason of his advanced Age, and that the Count Vernon, who is lately arrived here from his Embassy at the Court of France, will succeed to the Secretaryship. His Majesty is just now arrived here from the Venetia.
Paris, June 19. On the 12th past, the King went to Ivry and paid a Visit to the Prince of Conty. It is reported that his Majesty will not return to Versailles till after the 15th of next Month, greater Repairs being to be made there than were at first thought of; ' tis said also, that his Majesty will take a Journey to Chantilly. The Cardinal Prime Minister is recovered of his late Indisposition and has been presented by the King with the Abbey of St. Bertin of St. Omer, worth 40000 Livres a Year. M. de Morville, Secretary of State for Marine Affairs, is to be admitted a Member of the French Academy. in the room of the late Abbe de Dangeau; M. Mallet is to make Answer in Quality of Chancellour of the Academy, to M. de Morville's Speech on his Admittance, and to be therein assisted by the Cardinal du Bois. Since Process has been commenced against M. de la Jonchere for Deficiency in his Accompts, M. St. Fleuret, who was formerly his Deputy, has likewise been taken into Custody.
Hague, June 21. On the 18th Instant about Three a-Clock in the Afternoon, his Britannick Majesty left the Carolina Yacht and went aboard that of the States, having a fair Wind for Vaart opposite to Viane where His Majesty landed in good Health Yesterday at Nine in the Morning, and began his Journey by Land for Hanover. The Lord Viscount Townshend arrived here the 18th in the Afternoon, and the Lord Carteret the next Morning; the former sets out from hence this Day, and the latter will do the same To-morrow, in order to proceed on their Journey to Hanover.





Whereas an anonymous Letter dated June 1, N.S. sent by the Penny Post, has been received by one of His Majesty's Principal Secretaries of State; if the Person who wrote the said Letter will attend the Secretary of State to whom he sent it, and make out what he purposes, he may be assured of all fitting Encouragement.




Office of Ordnance, June 15, 1723.

Whereas Stephen Anderton, Matross, in Captain Thomas Pattison's Company, in the Royal Regiment of Artillery, commanded by Colonel Albert Borgard, aged 24 Years, six Foot ten Inches high, a Carpenter by Trade, of a brown Complection, wears a Wig, born in the Parish of St. Brides, London, did desert the 4th Instant from Woolwich, and has taken with him all his Regimental Cloathing: If he will return to his Company within 14 Days from the Date hereof, he shall be received; or whoever shall secure him after the said time, and deliver him to any of the Officers of the said. Regiment, either at London, Woolwich, Portsmouth, Plymouth, or Chatham, shall receive �10 as a Reward, or if they will commit him to any Country Goal in England, they shall receive half the Reward, giving Notice thereof to Mr. John Blake, jun. at the Office of Ordnance in the Tower, London.




African-House, June 13, 1723.

The Court of Assistant of the Royal African Company of England give Notice, That from and after Thursday the 10th Instant, the Transfer-Books of the said Company will be shut up until Thursday the 18th of July following, that the Adventurers Accounts may be settled, in order to making out the Warrants for the Half Year's Dividend which will be due at Midsummer next.

Notice is hereby given, that the Trustees appointed by an Act of Parliament intituled an Act for Repairing the Roads from St.Giles Pound to Kilburn Bridge in the County of Middlesex, will meet at Barlow's Coffee-house in New-Bond-Street, on Thursday the 27th of June 1723, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, being a General Quarterly Meeting.




The Committee for Letting the Bridgehouse Lands give Notice, That they intend to Lett by Lease the Mill-house, Mills, Mill-stream, one Messuage, Barn and Outhouses thereunto belonging, commonly called Joyce's Mills, lying on the Road near Stratford in Essex, and Thirty-nine Acres of Meadow-Land in the Parish of Deptford in Kent, in the Possession of Thomas Bars; and that the said Committee will sit in the Council Chamber of the Guildhall, London, on Wednesday the 19th Day of June Instant, at Three of the Clock in the Afternoon, to receive Proposals for the said Premisses severally; of which more particular Information may be had at the Comptroller's-Office in the Bridge-house, Southwark.
