BURGLARY AND HOUSE BREAKING.

Between 7 and 10 p.m on the 31st ultimo, the dwelling-house of Mr. T. Nickalls, of Horton Kirby, was broken and entered, and stolen therein : a metal watch Chain; a pair of sleeve Links; and a white woollen Scarf. Information to be given to Superintendent Brandon, Police Station, Dartford, Kent - Bow-street, November 3.

Between 10 p.m the 30th and 2 a.m. on the 31st ultimo, the dwelling-house of T.Brown, Esq, at Dartford, Kent, was broken and entered, and stolen therein : a dark drab Overcoat, lined with silk, velvet collar, wash-leather pockets at sides; a gold pencil Case, plain; two silk Umbrellas, one brown, the other black; two Tops of pepper boxes, silver; and about 30s in Silver. Information to be given to Superintendent Brandon, Police Station, Dartford, Kent - Bow-street, November 3.

Between 11 a.m and 3 p.m. on the 30th ultimo, the cottage of Joseph Smith, Butts Gate, Maresfield, Sussex, was broken and entered, and stolen therein : eleven Sovereigns; ten Florins; and a black leather Purse, with an elastic band around it. Supposed by a man, about 26 years of age, 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, pale complexion, appeared to be in bad health, grey eyes, light hair, no whiskers, slight built; dressed in a dark coat, dark brown trousers, white scarf round the neck, black billycock hat, and old low shoes. Information to be given at the Chief Constable's Office, Lewes; or to Superintendent Peerless, Uckfield, Sussex - Bow-street, November 3.

Stolen by housebreaking, early on the morning of the 8th ultimo, at Pubill, Glenlyon, parish of Fortingal, Perth : a double-breasted blue pilot Topcoat, much worn, small hole above right outside pocket; a single-breasted thick grey cloth shooting Coat, black bone buttons, nearly new; a pair of dark grey tweed Trousers, little worn; a black rep Gown (recovered); a greyish mixture winsey Gown, little worn, fastens in front with hooks and eyes; two women's black cloth Jackets, nearly new, fastens in front with black buttons, border of one trimmed with four stripes of black satin, the other similarly trimmed, but has black buttons round border; a home made winsey Petticoat, dark and yellow mixture, with yellow stripes up an down, much worn; a grey winsey Petticoat, black and magenta stripes round skirt; a woman's grey waterproof Cloak, black buttons; a dark cotton Umbrella, much worn; a silver anchor Brooch (recovered). By WILLIAM MILLAR, said to belong to Glasgow, about 35 years of age, about 5 feet 9 inches high, black hair, dark brown whiskers, swarthy complexion, thin face, and common make; dressed in a blue pilot reefing jacket, dark cloth trousers, strong boots, white shirt, and dark brown cap, with peak. And MARGARET FORD or STEWART, a blind woman, belongs to Dundee, and sometimes sings in the streets, about 40 years of age, about 5 feet high, reddish hair, fresh complexion, and thin face; dressed in a red tartan shawl, black straw bonnet, trimmed with white ribbon, white stockings, and elastic-side boots. They walk very smart, and when last seen in Dundee, on the 14th ultimo, were each wearing part of the stolen property. A sheriff's warrant has been issued for their apprehension. HORSE AND CATTLE STEALING.

Stolen from Royston, Cambridgeshire, on the night of the 7th instant, the property of William Stredder : a dark brown Mare, in good condition, 2 1/2 years old, 13 1/2 hands high, black legs, short square tail, recently docked, and a piece of hair rubbed off the near shoulder. Information to be given to Superintendent Pallant, Police Station, Accrington, near Royston, Cambridge - Bow-street, November 10.

Stolen during the night of the 31st ultimo, from a field at Milton, the property of William Essex : an aged horse Pony, 9 years old, 13 hands high, of a rusty dun colour, long rough coat, from having been turned out the past two months, a few white hairs on forehead, and on the heels, switch tail, is a very fast trotter. Information to be given to Deputy Chief Constable Stretton, Chesterton, Cambridge - Bow-street, November 8.




LARCENY AND EMBEZZLEMENT.

Stolen from a dwelling-house in the borough of Sunderland, on the morning of the 1st instant : a gold lever Watch, No.13056, cases bulged. Supposed by a man who passed by the name of JOHN GILCHRIST, about 26 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, no whiskers, light brown moustache, brown hair, quiet reserve manner; dressed in a blue yachting jacket, blue trousers, large dark flat-topped cap, and red and white muffler; supposed to be a seaman. Information to be given to Chief Constable Stainsby, Central Police Station, Sunderland - Bow-street, November 3.

Further information and description of WILLIAM BARTON, alias WILLIAM SAUNDERS, alias WILLIAM BRIGNALL, alias BRIGHTON BILL, charged with stealing carpenter's Tools at Hawkshouse, on the night of the 28th August, and advertised in the Police Gazette of the 11th of September last : the Tools have since been recovered. He is about 50 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, and sandy whiskers; dressed in a dark or brown velvet coat, and low-crowned hat, and carries a great coat with him, which he wears at times; is a stone sawyer by trade, and travels the country as a saw sharpener. Was in Hastings on the 16th ultimo, and left for Eastbourne, in company with a woman whom he calls his wife, goes by the name of Margaret Saunders, and who holds a pedlar's certificate, issued at Carshalton. Information to be given to Superintendent Morgan, Kent County Constabulary, Cranbrook, who holds a warrant for his apprehension - Bow-street, November 3.




FELONIES.

Description of a man, name unknown, who committed the crime of self-murder at Temple-street, Bristol, on the 21st ultimo, whose clothing, &c. are now at this station awaiting identification. He appears from 40 to 45 years of age, about 5 feet 5 inches high, dark brown hair, large brown bushy whiskers, lost first joint of thumb of left hand, tattooed on right fore arm with a ship, heart, man, and anchor, with a bracelet round wrist, and on left arm a flag with bracelet round wrist; dressed in black cloth coat and vest, grey striped trousers, black silk hat, and lace-up boots; upon his body, and in the room were the deed was committed, was found �18 6s. 9d., a silver Watch, maker S. Silverstone, with gold albert Chain attached; a Pistol, maker Ketland and Co.; a flask of Powder; some shot; a box of percussion Caps; and a small bottle containing Pills; on the sleeve lining of his coat, and on the lining of his waistcoat, under the collar, is the name 'John Jarvis, from Glasgow, tailor and draper, 33, St.James's-street, Liverpool. Information to be given to Inspector Black, Police Station, Bedminster, Bristol - Bow-street, November 6.




FRAUDS AND AGGRAVATED MISDEMEANOURS.

Description of EDWARD VAUGHAN, sawyer, charged at Church Stretton with obtaining 35s by false pretences from John Paterson, at the parish of Onibury, on the 27th ultimo : 21 years of age, 5 feet 4 or 5 inches high, fresh complexion, light brown hair, and has a fresh scar on right cheek; dressed in dark mixture cloth jacket, light brown striped cloth trousers, jimcrow hat, and lace up boots with brass eyelet-holes; is a native of Foundry-lane, Wellington, Salop, where his parents reside. Information to be given to Superintendent Baxter, Church Stretton, or to Serjeant Lear, Bromfield, Salop, who holds a warrant for his apprehension.- Bow-street, November 6.




MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATIONS.

Missing from his home since the 28th ult : WILLIAM MANN, an apprentice, 16 years of age, about 5 feet 6 inches high, light brown hair, light grey eyes, pale complexion, thin build, scar on centre of forehead caused by a blow from a hammer; dressed in pepper-and-salt coloured coat, brown cord trousers with burnt spots upon them caused by sparks (he being a blacksmith), dark beaverteen waistcoat, drab cap with black peak, and new calf-leather boots; turns his toes out when walking. It is feared some ill has befallen him. Information to be given to Superintendent Creasey, Yoxford, Suffolk - Bow-street, November 6.

Description of EMMA WASHINGTON, missing from her home at Collier-row, Romford, Essex, on the 21st ult : about 23 years of age, 5 feet high, rather long face, light brown hair, blue eyes, good looking, and of clean appearance; dressed in a light jacket, with black spots and fringe at bottom, black and white check skirt, with three rows of black braid round the bottom, black velvet hat, trimmed with violet and black, and a strip of velvet which falls behind, and has a black and white plaid shawl, which she may be wearing; she was seen the same day in Charles-street, Devonshire-street, Mile-end, London. It is feared she has met with some foul treatment, or that some ill has befallen her. Information to be given to Inspector Gilpin, Police Station, Romford, Essex - Bow-street, November 8.

Description of CHARLES BLAKE, alias JOHN BROWN, alias WILLIAM DRAKE, committed for trial at the next assizes at Exeter, Devon, for burglary : about 30 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, slight make, brown hair, whiskers and moustache cut short, blue eyes, lost front teeth of upper jaw except two, one of which is decayed, tattooed with coat of arms and three masts of a ship with sails set, on left arm, crucifix and star on right, 'B.C.' on right side; is a navvy; dressed in white slop, worked around collar, and 'Ich Dien' and plume of feathers on breast in needlework, fustian trousers, grey cloth waistcoat, and scotch cap. Information to be given to Superintendent Stoddart, Devon Constabulary, Torquay, or to Serjeant Phillips, Constabulary Station, Newton Abbot, Devon - Bow-street, November 6.

Description of a tramp in custody at South Stockton, charged on suspicion of having stolen a pair of old grey mixture trousers; a pair of dark cloth trousers, black stripe on side; a pair of scarlet and black Braces; three pairs of wool Socks, man's size; a black and white plaided woollen Scarf, nearly new; a blue and white checked Handkerchief; and a pair of strong nailed blucher Boots, marked with iron ore : he gives the name of WILLIAM ALLEN, about 35 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, dark complexion, slender make, and has a blue mark below his right eye and upon his nose, has an emaciated appearance, and looks as if he has recently come out of prison; dressed in an old long grey coat and waistcoat, old dark cloth trousers, and billycock hat. Information to be given to Superintendent Simpson, North Riding Constabulary, South Stockton - Bow-st., November 3.

Description of a tramp in custody at Kirby Moorside on two charges of larceny : he gives the name of JOHN SMITH, 21 years of age, 5 feet 2 inches high, fresh complexion, grey eyes, light brown hair, thin ginger whiskers, meeting on chin, proportionate build, sun freckled, and a large cut mark on forehead; states his parents resides at Kingscliffe, Northamptonshire, which place he left about 3 years ago, and for some time worked in the plaster mines in Nottinghamshire; dressed in dirty harding jacket, grey cloth vest, fustian trousers, old dark cloth cap, and Lancashire clogs. Information to be given to Inspector Milner, North Riding Constabulary, Kirby Moorside - Bow-street, November 3.

Committed to Northallerton Gaol for 14 days hard labour for disorderly conduct at Guisborough, on the 1st instant : THOMAS ROBINSON, 40 years of age, 5 feet 8 1/2 inches high, grey eyes, dark brown hair, fresh complexion, full stout face, stout built, and has a pugilistic appearance with him; states he was born in North Shields; dressed in a round low-crowned felt hat, dark grey cloth suit, sometimes wears a brown cloth topcoat, with velvet collar. He has been going about the country selling a spurious powder made from Bath bricks and red ochre, representing it to be a patent polishing powder, whereby he has obtained sums of Money. Information to be given to Superintendent Prest, North Riding Constabulary Office, Guisborough - Bow-street, November 3.




PROPERTY STOLEN.

Stolen during the night of the 1st instant, from a hedge at Pentre, in the parish of Llangwrig : a pair of dark mixture cloth trousers, with small white spots, hard worn, full front, lined with unbleached calico, and has spots of shoemaker's wax on the legs, and a blue and white check shirt, white bone buttons on the breast, brown stains on the sleeves. Information to be given at the Chief Constable's Office, Newtown; or to Serjeant Owen, Llanidloes, Montgomeryshire - Bow-street, November 3.

Stolen from a yard in Union-street, Crewe, about 7 p.m. on the 26th ultimo; a gentleman's grey callico night Shirt; a gingham dress Skirt, brown and white ground, with yellow stripe.
Also from the dwelling-house of Wm. Marshall, Waverley-place, during the night of the 26th ultimo : a blue pilot monkey Jacket, newly lined with dark woollen plaid; a pair of man's elastic-side Boots, nearly new.
Supposed by a youth, about 16 years of age, 5 feet 6 or 7 ins high, fresh complexion, who lodged at Marshall's on the night of the 26th and left next morning. Information to be given to Superintendent Laxton, Nantwich; or to Inspector Wood, Crewe, Cheshire - Bow-street, November 3.




PROPERTY FOUND BY POLICE OFFICERS.

Found in the possession of James Kairns, an Irish tramp, committed to the Buckingham Borough Prison for 14 days for vagrancy : a double-cased silver verge Watch, No.1159, steel hands, Roman and English figures, steel curb Chain, with watch Key, Seal, brass spade Guinea, and brass coin attached, paper inside case, with 'Joyce, Watch and Clock Maker, Hungerford,' on it, and 42664 on the back - Information to be given to Superintendent Howe, Buckingham - Bow-street, November 10.

Found in the possession of FREDERICK WILSON, who is remanded at Manchester till the 9th instant, Pawn-tickets of the following Articles, supposed to be stolen :

A man's dark blue cloth shooting Coat, two pockets outside with flaps, and one inside left breast, bound with black braid, lined with black material of ribbed pattern, dark covered buttons, and has a large pearl button at top. Supposed stolen about the 14th ultimo.
A pair of men's light tweed Trousers, fly fronts, one button off behind, with pockets made of a brown corded material. Pawned 10th ultimo.
A man's dark tweed monkey Jacket, bound with brown braid, two pockets outside with flaps, and one inside left breast, has an angular opening at the bottom behind, worn. Pawned 11th ultimo.
A Rug, black on one side, brown coloured figures on the other. Pawned 30th ultimo.
A pair of youth's new elastic-side Boots, stitched kid uppers and toecaps, marked 'J.J.' on the soles. Pawned 26th August last.
A pair of youth's lace-up Boots, with toecaps, calf skin uppers, stamped '47.' on the soles, and '7R / 4' on inside, new. Pawned 9th ultimo.
Fifteen Billiard Balls. Pawned 9th ultimo.
