COMMERCE HOUSE,
ETON.
J. HOARE,
DRAPER, SILK MERCER, &c. &c.
HIGH-STREET, ETON,

RESPECTFULLY returns his grateful acknowledgments to the Families and Gentlemen of the College, and to the inhabitants of Eton, Windsor, and their vicinities, for their liberal patronage since he has re-opened the above House, and begs to inform those who have not yet honored him with their favors that by a single trial they will discover the advantage of purchasing from his stock - which has been selected with the greatest care both with regard to fashion and quality, and is now not only offered at prices that has and will ensure general approbation but which also possesses the novelty that Drapers longer established cannot boast - namely, of being free from dear or unfashionable goods.
J.H. feels it his duty to caution the public to beware of being made the dupes of a class of men who frequent various parts of the Kingdom, to sell, (as they profess) Bankrupt's Stocks of immense value, whereas it is generally the case that they are persons merely employed by Drapers, who have inferior or unsaleable stocks, or by Manufacturers to sell goods which are damaged in their make or otherwise injured, and such as no respectable trader can purchase, but as these persons only stay "a very little time" in one place the imposition is oftentimes not discovered till they have removed to a distant part of the Country, again to practise the like deception on the unsuspecting and confiding.

NOTICE TO CORRESPONDENTS.

A Correspondent, who signs his letter "A Well-wisher to the town of Windsor," complains of the disgraceful state of the Clewer Ditch, wishes to call the attention of the Borough Authorities to the same and adds, "There were several notices on this subject in your paper last year, but, as yet, nothing has been done to remedy the evil; but the health of the public demands that ere long something must be done."
We have received a Letter from, "Mr. Isaac Cane, of Colnbrook, in which he states that "it is to be hoped on the re-letting of the Tolls arising from the Colnbrook Turnpike Roads, the Trustees will have the Weighing Machine thereon removed, there not being one allowed in the county of Middlesex, and as persons contracting by paying double toll can carry what weight they please, it can be of no real benefit to the road."
