James Ring, Plumber, Glazier, and Painter, begs respectfully to inform the inhabitants of Lymington and its vicinity, and the friends of the late Mr.James Colborne, that he has succeeded him in the above concern, which he intends to carry on, as usual, at the same Shop; and hopes by a strict attention to business, to give satisfaction to those who may please to honour him with their commands.

Ebenezer Browne's Bankruptcy.

The Creditors who have proved their Debts under a Commission of Bankrupt awarded and issued on the 19th of February, 1812, against Ebenezer Browne, late of Bradford, in the County of Wilts, Clothier, may receive a dividend of two shillings in the pound, at our office in Melksham, any Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, between the hours of ten and three.

Winchester,
Saturday, April 17.

Earl Moria, suite, the Countess of Loudoun and Moria, Lord Huntington, two Ladies Rawdon, two Misses Ross, with their numerous attendants, embarked on Wednesday from the Star Inn, Gosport, (where they had been for some days) on board his Majesty's ship Stirling Castle, for India; and the following day Lady Charlotte Rawdon, the Earl's sister, left the above Inn, on her return to Bath.

Mr.Lampard, Proctor, of Winchester, is appointed Deputy Registrar of the Consistory Court of the Archdeacon of Winchester.
On Friday last Mr.Robert Budd, of Fordingbridge, in this county, Fellow of the Medical and Philosophical Society of St.Bartholomew's Hospital, after undergoing his examinations, was elected a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, London.

Birth. On Tuesday last, the Lady of James Blunt, Esq. of Nether Wallop, of a daughter.
On Tuesday last died, at Southampton, aged 19 years, Louisa, daughter of the late Frederick Breton, Esq.
On Wednesday died, at Southampton, after a long illness, Mrs.Bray, wife of Captain John Bray, now a prisoner in France.

A fine brig, called the Pomone, belonging to Mr.Warwick, merchant of Eling, near Southampton, was taken off Dungeness, by a French privateer, on Thursday se'nnight; her cargo is estimated at �15,000.

The five convicts sentenced for transportation at our late assizes for assisting the French officers in their escape from Andover, were on Monday last conveyed on board the Earl Spencer South Sea Whaler.




Salisbury,
Monday, April 19, 1813.

The Prince Regent has been pleased to grant unto Samuel Pretor, heretofore Samuel Gill, of Sherborne, Dorset, Gent., his Majesty's Royal licence to confirm to him and his issue the surname of Pretor, in compliance with a request contained in the last will of his maternal grandfather, Simon Pretor, late of Sherborne aforesaid, banker, deceased : and also that he may bear the arms of Pretor.

We hear that the Rev.T.Fry, M.A. late Fellow of Lincoln College, Oxford, and Rector of Emberton, Bucks, will preach on Sunday the 25th instant, at Weymouth, in the morning, and at St.Peter's, in Dorchester, in the afternoon, for the benefit of the London Society for promoting Christianity amongst the Jews.

Birth. On Sunday the 11th instant, at Richmond, the Countess of Shaftesbury, of a son.
On Saturday se'nnight was married at Cambridge, J.P.Saunders, Esq. of St.Vincent's Place, City Road, to Miss Susan Nicholson, second daughter of - Nicholson, Esq. of that town.
On Sunday the 11th inst. was married, at Warminster, Mr.Strode, auctioneer, to Miss Fanny Markes, post mistress of that town.
On Tuesday last was married, at Kemble, in this county, Thomas Habgood, Esq. of Cricklade, to Miss Anne Davis, of the former place.
On Thursday last was married, at Saint Andrew's Church, Holborn, Mr.Jenvey, of Paradise-street, Mary-le-bone, to Miss Hopgood, late of Castle-street, in this city.
On Sunday the 4th inst. died, after a long illness, Miss Hannah Staples, wife of Mr.John Staples, of the Queen's Arms Tavern, Newgate-street, London, formerly of this city.
On Saturday the 10th inst. died, at Poole, aged 56 years, Mrs.Elizabeth Coward, sincerely lamented by her family and friends.
On Monday last died, at Winterborne Gunner, near this city, aged 61 years, Mr.Thomas Cusse, formerly an opulent farmer, but had retired from business. He was a friendly, cheerful man, whose loss will be long lamented.
The same day died Mr.Charles Edwards, an eminent solicitor, at Chard, who for many years ably discharged the office of deputy clerk of the peace for the county of Somerset.

On Thursday last, the 15th inst. the remains of the Rev.William Ireland, Vicar of Frome, were interred in the Church of that place. The corpse was attended by his relations, by a great number of Clergymen, by all the Dissenting Ministers of every religious denomination in Frome, and also by a great deal of the population of the town, who followed the corpse as mourners. The family had given no invitation (except to the pall-bearers), but all classes of persons were so desirous of shewing their regard, that; forgetting all religious distinction , they cordially united, on this solemn occasion, in one general sentiment of respect to the memory of their Vicar, and vied with each other in paying their last tribute to departed worth.

Committed to the county gaol, - William Smart, charged with stealing several articles from an out-house belonging to Mr.Clift, of Durrington.




Sir Vicary Gibbs, the Recorder of Bristol, arrived there on Saturday the 10th inst. for the purpose of holding the annual Gaol delivery, which commenced and terminated on Monday. The following were the principal cases in the list :- Bolitha Bateman (aged 17) on a charge of house-breaking, and Judith Mahony, for stealing 28 yards of printed cotton, in the shop of Mr.Thwaites - Death, - but respited till Royal pleasure be known.- George Witchell, (aged 16) charged with killing James Horwood, in the parish of St.Thomas, in June last, and J.D.Jones, charged with killing a woman of the name of Margaret Heness, about two years since - Manslaughter - Imprisoned twelve months, and fined 1s.; and Phoebe Chandler, for forging, &c. a one-pound Bank of England note - Fourteen years transportation.




Prosecution Society.

Trowbridge, Wilts, and its Neighbourhood.
At a Meeting held at the George Inn, in Trowbridge, on Wednesday the 12th day of May, 1812, it was resolved by the Members then present, that the next Annual Meeting of the Society should be held on the 11th day of May, 1813.
It was resolved - That the following Rewards, over and above those allowed by Act of Parliament, should be paid on conviction of any offender of offenders, for each of the under-mentioned offences, committed on the property of any of the Members :-
Stealing or Killing any Horse, Mare, or Gelding, Cow, Ox, Calf, Sheep, of Lamb, - Fifty Guineas.
Maiming and Horse, Mare, or Gelding, Cow, Ox, Calf, Sheep, or Lamb, - Twenty Guineas.
Stealing or Killing any Pig, - Twenty Guineas.
Maiming any Pig, - Ten Guineas.
For any Burglary or Felony committed on any other property, - Twenty Guineas.
N.B. If several persons should be convicted of any one offence, only one Reward will be paid.

STOLEN or STRAYED, from the Yard, on Saturday night the 10th or Sunday the 11th of April instant.- A red three-years-old BULL of the Devon kind, a slit in one year and a bit cut from the other.- Whoever will bring the said Bull to James Rider, of North Baddesley, near Romsey, shall be handsomely rewarded. If stolen, Five Guineas on conviction of the offender or offenders.
Whoever detains him, after this notice, will be prosecuted.
