My information on my Watson ancestors is rather limited - I have one photograph of my Great Great Grandmother Mary Ann Watson, and the names of two possible brothers from my her husbands (William Longley Middleton's account book).

Mary Ann Watson

My Great Great Grandmother Mary Ann Watson was born in Shoreditch, Middlesex, in about 1850. In 1873, she married William Longley Middleton at St. Peter's Church, in the Parish of West Hackney in the County of Middlesex (see detail below)

Mary Ann is supposed to have left her my Great Great Grandfather, before his death in in 1883 (she appears living with him in the 1881 census)and moved in with someone else, who threw her out when he discovered she was suffering from cancer. She then returned to live with my Great Grandfather William Henry Middleton, and died 12th April 1900, at 12 Cookham Buildings, Bethnal Green, London, aged 54. Cause of death - Carcenova - uterl.

While researching my Middleton family I found the death, on the 21st June 1876, of Jessie Matilda Middleton a daughter of William Longley Middleton and Mary Ann. The informant was Matilda Watson "Grandmother," who turned out to be the mother of Mary Ann.

In the 1851 Census Edward Watson and family can be found at No. 3, Moneyer St., in Hoxton, Shoreditch Ref HO107 1535 Folio: 521 Page 21
