Edward Humphreys was a widower when he married Margaret Davies in Mold Parish, Wales on Dec. 29, 1819. His first wife was Elinor Williams b. June 22, 1788 m. July 1, 1808 in Mold Parish. Edward and wife Margaret sailed July 13, 1829 from Liverpool, England bound for Boston, MA and arrived with their four children Sept. 29, 1829 at Alexandria, VA. The family moved from VA to Juniata Twp., Perry Co., PA before ending up in Fayette Co., PA. Their children are listed below:

The Humphreys family came from Wales and formed a little colony(Welshtown) , between the railroad tracks and the Wynn Co. store, known as Wynn Switch. This area is now known as Wynn, Fayette, PA.
Owen John Humphreys married Abt 1851 Hannah Price b. Nov. 7, 1828 WV d. July 12, 1903 Fayette Co., PA. They are buried at Tent Church Cemetery, near York Run, Fayette, PA. Their children are listed below:
