Creelys in France
The earliest record of my Creely family in America is the marriage of Jean Baptiste Crelis (as it was spelled then) to Marie Francoise Oeillet in New Orleans Parish, Louisiana Territory 27 October 1727. Jean Baptiste was said to be from St. Madelaine Parish, Besancoeur, Burgundy, France.
Marie's parents were Francois Oeillet from Quimpere, Finsterre,Brittany, France and Jeanne Pulet.
