William Davis Overview 

Finding William and Judith Woody Davis has been a real problem because of the very common Davis name and the fact that they would be at least 70 years old in the 1850 census. 

The 1820 Henry Co., VA census lists a William Davis with nine children and two adults over 45. This could be William and Judith,  but I can’t find them in a later Henry/Franklin Co. census.

I also took a look at 1850 Yancey Co., NC census on the possibility that they went there with Wyatt & Susannah Woody and the Robertsons, but I had no success with this approach.
