Mrs. Bradley Succumbs Here
Mrs. Violetta C. Bradley, 72, beloved wife of E.L. Bradley of this city, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, (1937) at 5:30 p.m., at her home, 718 Front Street.
Mrs. Bradley leaves a host of friends who will miss her in the activities of the church, club and neighborly gatherings. She was a life member of the Women's Literary club, which she attended regularly and was keenly interested in the many branches of this work. Mrs. Bradley was an active worker in the Presbyterian church, being a member of the Women's Council and the Missionary Society. Until the last few years she was a member of the Ladies of the G.A.R. and the Women's Relief Corps.
Mrs. Violetta Martin Bradley was born in Saulk Center, Minn. on May 2, 1865. Surviving her are her husband, E.L. Bradley, seven daughters, a step-son and a step-daughter who will mourn her passing. There are also eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Those living in Port Anglees are Mrs. Joseph L. Harley and two sons, Joseph, Jr. and David; Mrs. Edward N. Fitzgerald and son, Edward N., Jr.; Mrs. S.W. Blaurock and son, Arthur. The others are Mrs. Charles L. Harwood of Cape May, NJ; Mrs. Earl Webster, son Llwewllyn and daughter, Marilyn of Sedro Woolley, WA; Mrs. Sibyl Groves and son Kay and daughter Barbara of Merced, CA; Mrs. A.H. Wagner, son Erwin and daughter Sibyl June, Sacramento, CA; Mrs. Lee Lavender, son Clinton, of Spokane, WA, and Mrs. Lavender's daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Hoffman of Bremerton, WA. and Boyd B. Bradley and son Howard and daughter Jean of Yakima, WA.
Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Friday afternoon at the McDonald Funeral Parlor with burial in Mount Angeles Cemetery.
