Aims & Objectives
THE EAST FAMILY HISTORY SOCIETY
Researching:- East, Este, and all Variants
Founded on 20th March 1993
Our Society was inaugurated in London in 1993 and had become sufficiently well established, with world-wide membership, to be accepted as a member of the Federation of Family History Societies in 1998.
Our Aims and Objectives
a) To bring together all those who are interested in East ancestry, and the origins of the Easts.
b) To make East research easier:
    (i) by creating a clearing house for information on all East families, for use by all those interested.
(ii) by publishing interesting results of research, for mutual benefit, and for the general public.
(iii) by fostering ways of recording and exchanging data so that the researchers may work more effectively.
c) To promote the conservation of documents and other material of special interest, e.g. records of East monuments and their inscriptions.
d) To hold an Annual General Meeting every October and any occasional meeting at places of special interest to these families, as and when appropriate.
