North American EAST’s...........What we would like to know
When and where did your EAST ancestor(s) arrive in North America?
Where did they come from? (copies of documentary evidence, such as Immigration Certificates would be helpful)
Have you any data on their possible family history before leaving for North America?
After arrival what trade(s) did they adopt or engage in?
Did they move around and where did they settle?
What contribution did they make to developments of their communities and of their regions; such as taking part in political/administrative careers or in developing industrial/commercial activities?
History up to date of their families/descendants; where are they now?
Are there any relatives back in Europe with whom you already have contact?
Would you like to be put in contact with any we discover; or with other EAST’s in North America?
Can we use the information you provide as the basis of articles in our Newsletter ‘Points EAST’, full credit being given to the sources of information?
Copies of Family Trees, certificates of births, marriages and deaths, would be of great interest. Our Database manager maintains a list of these, for use by members of the EAST Family History Society
Please note that data will be used solely by the Society and not made available to others outside of our membership.
Finally..... Are you already a member of the EAST Family History Society? The Newsletter is full of EAST data; and provides contact with members throughout the world; so membership is well worth considering!
