There are several individuals who have made outstanding contributions toward the process of learning the early histories of Hughes, Pickett and Allied Families. I would like to offer a special thanks: to Ruth Hughes Gartell (descendant of John Hughes) for her valuable contributions on the Hughes Family of Maries, Gasconade and Pulaski Counties of Missouri and her continuing efforts, to Debbie Brown (descendant of Thomas Orville Pickett) for valuable information on Henry Pickett and to Jane Loney St. Pierre (descendant of Nellie Jane Bennett) for important insights into the Bennett, Loney, McMullen and Compton families.

Betty O'Bryan(descendant of Jefferson C. Hughes) has provided important insights into her area of the Hughes family. Donna Brown has supplied valuable fresh and exciting new breakthoughs on Henry Pickett and his sons David and Thomas Orville Pickett, and added considerable to what we know about the families of William Pickett's children. Brenda Eoste(descendant of Rosetta Land Tyler) has provided additional insight into the Kinson Land area of the Land family. Thank you!

Frankie Krausse, (descendant of William Sorrow Bennett) has given a detail account on selected portions of the Bennett family back to 1580. Thanks Frankie! Patrick J. Anderson(descendant of John Bell and Anne Bennett) has presented the Bennett history in England back to 1459 and added more details on the early Bennetts in America. Thank you, Pat!

Lyda Essen (descendant of Thomas Gilliam Pickett and John David Pickett) has contributed new information on the William G. Pickett's son, Thomas G. Pickett and his descendants. Thank you Lyda for filling an important gap in our Pickett history. Special Thanks to Bob Brewer (descendant of Thomas Gilliam Pickett and James Henry Pickett) for giving us a digital copy of a rare letter containing valuable info on our Pickett ancestry written by Emily Pickett around the year 1880.

Loren A. Thurman has updated us on the descendants of Charles Henry Bennett with the help of cousin Roxie Evelyn Bennett(descendant of James Marion Bennett and Charles Henry Bennett). Thanks Loren and Evelyn!

Tammie B. Chada (descendant of Thomas W. Bennett) has enlightened us on the early Bennett - Toy families connections and part of their descendants including some insights into Thomas W. and Nellie Bowen Bennett before they arrived in Randolph County, Arkansas. Thanks Tammie!

Dan Harnden, Sr. (descendant of Thomas W. Bennett and Daniel Boone McMullen) has contributed a rare letter written by his grandmother, Adeline Sarah McMullen Harnden on the children of Daniel Boone McMullen and Margaret Shelton. Thanks Dan!

Laura Fisher Clark (descendant of Lara Mae Riddle) has provided us with fresh insights into the connections between the Hughes-White-Hackworth-Bennett-McMullen-Decker families and the Riddle families. I am very pleased to have these connections so close to the early history of our Hughes families in Arkansas and our Ravenden Springs hertiage.
