Fincher

William C Fincher, son of James Fincher, was born in 1798 in Mecklenburg, NC, moved to Jasper Co GA and married Elizabeth Callaway in Jasper Co on 6 May 1819, and for a while lived in Jasper Co (Hardy Calloway was a neighbor, page 234). Elizabeth was born in 1803 in GA, daughter of William S Callaway. In 1830 they lived in Henry Co GA (page 217) and had six young children. In 1840 they lived in Tallapoosa Co AL (page 176; also on page 183 was Benjamin East [E19a3], and William C P East [E19a8], page 184), the only Fincher name in Tallapoosa Co in 1840. All this time so far, he was a farmer. By 1850 they were living at Coosa, Coosa Co AL. Elizabeth died in 1885 at Rosston, Nevada Co AR. Their twelve children were-

e. Amaziah Ivans Fincher, b 18 Oct 1852 in Pontotoc Co MS, lived at Albany, Lincoln Co AR in 1900 with his wife Elizabeth Teressa Rogers and younger children. Elizabeth was born in November 1852 in AR. and married Amaziah on 4 January 1872 in AR. Their younger children were all born in AL-
