She was born October 21, 1838 in Arkansas. 1870 census shows her maiden name as Barham, and died August 10, 1929 in Fallsville, Arkansas.

Isaac Cowan was in Co E 2nd Arkansas Infantry Volunteers in the Civil War. He was married by the Justice of the Peace his father, Riley Cowan. His occupation was a farmer. He was 5'8" tall had blue eyes and dark hair. Burial, Case Cemetary, Newton Co., Arkansas.
Notes for Mary Ann (Polly) DANIELS: She received a widow's pension. She didn't believe in flour, she ate only cornbread. She smoked a corncob pipe. Her children were musically talented. Burial, Case Cemetary, Newton Co., Arkansas

Mrs. Lillie May Harderson, 97, of Clarksville died Thursday, 
March 2, 2000, at Lamar.
She was a member of the Second Babtist Church in Clarksville, 
daughter of the late Miles and Joanna Dewberry Ritchie, and 
widow of Earl Harderson. 
She is survived by one daughter, Louise Fredrick of Osceola, 
Indiana; Two sons, Basil Harderson of Clarksville and 
Tony Harderson of Lamar; three sisters, Iva Moore of Oark, 
and Diana McDew and Lois Orman, both of Arkansas; 
seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 
and one great great grandchild.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, March 6, at Roller-Cox Chapel 
with the Rev. Clayton Rylee officiating. Burial was at the 
Cassville Cemetary. Pallbearers were Glenn Stepp, Keith Stepp,
Don Langtoon, Stan Harderson, Eddie Krimbriel, and 
Argus Ted Holland.

Notes for Pearl P. HARDERSON:
Pearl ran away with father-in law Will Hollon but came back to 
Albert about 3 years later. Mother-in-law took care of the children 
while she was away. Story by Lois Cowan Davis (a cousin of hers).

Notes for Joseph Cyrus (Joe) COWAN:
Joseph was a fiddle player.  He played the fiddle for all the dances for
miles around Fallsville, Newton Co., Arkansas. People would come for miles
to hear him play and dance.  He was also Justice of the Peace for the area 
for many years.  He owned and operated a lumber mill. He built caskets for 
his family.  Joe and his second wife Phoebe "Betty" Cowan were 1st cousins 
once removed. He had one Gold front tooth.  He was my G-Grandfather.

Notes for Sara Ann ROBERTS:
Granddaughter Lois Cowan Davis says she was a sweet and hard working women.
She said she used to stay with her a lot when she was a child and young woman.
She called her Granny Cummins.  I didn't even know she was my Great 
Grandmother until I started doing genealogy.  I had heard lots of stories 
about Granny Cummins and did'nt even know who she was.

My grandfather was a very quiet man, I never heard him raise his voice
to anyone.  He worked hard all his life for what he got.  He died 
when I was only 10, but I have a lot of wonderful memories of him. 
I remember he loved popcorn and my grandmother used to make it for 
him almost every night. He labored in many different jobs from farming,
moonshine making to the lumber industry.

they spoiled me and I got all the attention.  I loved to sleep in 
her feather bed.
