       marrying Confederate men and after his death only left them $5.00 each.

enlistment: Age 21 years; Height 5 feet 10 inches Complexion fair; Eyes blue;
Hair red; Where born Roane Co. Tenn. He was reported sick twice in 
Fayettville Hospital, three times Ft. Smith Hospital. 

James Martin Clark married Martha Jane Lee September 24, 1865 Ft. Smith, 
Arkansas. He met her while a patient in the military hospital there.
