Bernard Dale 'Maynard' Eaton, 58, of Springdale died July 18, 2000, at West Siloam Springs, Okla. He was born May 5, 1942, in Berryville to James Oris and Edith Fancher Eaton. He was a Christian.

He was a truck driver for Jones Truck Lines for 22 years and had been employed as a driver for W.W. Trucking for six months. He was an Army veteran.

Survivors include one son, Kale Eaton of Springdale; five brothers, Kenneth Eaton of Rogers, Jim Eaton and Rodger Eaton, both of Yakima, Wash., Gary Eaton of Medford, Ore., and Rick Cole of Springdale; six sisters, Shirley Eaton, Earnestine Morrison and Brenda Snyder, all of Yakima, Wilma Schindler of Selah, Wash., Connie Charboneau of Fort Sill, Okla., and Barbara Bowen of Springdale; godparents, John and Merle Cole of Springdale.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale with the Rev. Lynville Eaton officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. in Old Bethel Cemetery at Red Star (Madison County).

Pallbearers will be Wayne Fancher, Ibert Fancher, John Fancher, James Fancher, Larry Parker and Jerry Vaughn. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Eaton, Rick Cole, David Trollinger, Doug Eaton, Harold Bowen and Stanton Cram.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. {mcr}

Rufus Eddings, 73, of St. Joe died Monday, May 14, 2001 at home. The son of Frank and Margaret (Horn) Eddings was born Aug. 4, 1927, at Richland. The lifetime resident of Searcy County was a longtime member of the Hog Creek Pentecostal Church. He loved fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, four brothers and a sister.

Survivors are his wife, Cordie (Fisk) Eddings of the home; three sons, Jacky Eddings of Pindall, Rufus Eddings Jr. of St. Joe and Reggie Eddings of Western Grove; three daughters, Marilyn Bandy of St. Joe, and Marie Rollinson and Alma Scott, both of Western Grove; three sisters, Betty Stephens of Western Grove, Ada Albritton of Valley Springs and Ruth Wyatt of St. Joe; 19 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at Coffman Chapel with Paul Holder officiating. Burial will be in Western Grove Cemetery under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home. Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Wednesday, May 16.

Pallbearers are grandsons Ty Eddings, Zack Eddings, Shawn Miller, Matt Eddings, Mark McCloud, Jesse Edgmon, Gregory Eddings and Craig Loggins. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons-in-law. {nct}

Arnold Edgmon, 81, of Fayetteville died Oct. 9, 2001, at Fayetteville. He was born Sept. 25, 1920, in Mossville to Phillman and Pennie Lamrr Edgmon. He was a member of East Side Christian Union Church in Springdale and was retired from Dold Food Co. of Wichita, Kan. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Pearly Watson Edgmon of the home, to whom he was married Dec. 22, 1940; one daughter, Bonnie Westerfield of White Water, Kan.; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Roy Edgmon of Lowell.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale with the Rev. Loren Collins and the Rev. David Schaefer officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.

Mrs. Audie Carlton Edgmon, 92, of Mossville, died Saturday, January 2, 1999, at Deer. She was a native of Pettigrew, daughter of the late Theo and Etta Hammond Carlton, widow of Ell Edgmon, and charter member of the Mossville United Baptist Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Marilyn Bennett of San Lorenzo, Calif., Modena Stevens of Stilwell, Okla., Betty Liggett of Deer, and Effie Gilmore of Ozone; one son, Jim Edgmon of Clarksville; two sisters, Elva Shelton of Fayetteville and Jewell Edwards of Santa Maria, Calif.; three brothers, Leonard Carlton of Cane Hill, Loren Carlton of Stilwell, Okla., and Robert Carlton of Wesley; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral held January 6, at the Mossville United Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Young and Rev. Dorlen Sparks officiating. Burial Mossville Cemetery. Active pallbearers: Richard Carlton, Elza Carlton, Randy Carlton, Reggie Carlton, Russell Sparks, and Robert Robinson. Honorary pallbearers were grandsons and granddaughters. {nct} Judy Tate

Leo Edgmon age 76, of Myrtle Creek, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2001 at a local care center. He was born July 30, 1924 in Swain, Arkansas, son of William Pickle and Mary (Self) Edgmon. He was united in marriage to Rebia Farrell on May 30, 1944 in Hawthorne, Nevada. He worked in Norway, Oregon from 1947 until 1973 and retired from Roseburg Lumber Company in 1986. Leo enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting, fishing and crabbing and he loved to work in his garden. He is loved and will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of over 56 years, Rebia of Myrtle Creek; children, Mary Prince and her husband Roger of Riddle,OR. Sharon Colman and her husband Gene of Wichita, KA Suzi Riley and her husband Michael of North Bend, OR. William Leo 'Lee' Edgmon of Myrtle Creek, OR; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Also surviving four sisters Clara Wing and her husband Leroy of Idaho Falls,ID, Ardeth Konkell of Caldwell, ID, Lois Knight and her husband Johnny of Coquille, OR, Loretta Farrell and her husband George of Arizona. A brother, Franklin Edgmon and his wife Geniva of Eugene, OR, many nieces and nephews.

His parents, two sisters, Pearley and Faye and three brothers, Vern, Clyde and Ray preceded him in death.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Taylor's Family Mortuary with private family services to be held at a later time. {we} Judy Tate

Ronald Clarence Edgmon, 65, of Gravette, Arkansas died January 20, 1984 at the Gravette Medical Center. He was born December 16, 1919 in Mossville, the son of Leither and Daisy Watson Edgmon.

He was employed at the Gravette Shelling Plant. He was the Gravette Fire Chief for several years. He served three terms on the City Council. He was a member of the American Legion and a Police Commissioner. He was a member of the Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. He had lived in this area since returning from military service in 1946.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Spencer Edgmon of the home; five brothers, Harvey Edgmon of Gravette, Franklin Edgmon of Loveland, Colorado, Berlin Edgmon of Bentonville, Arkansas, Sidney Edgmon of Houston, Texas, Winston Edgmon of Woodbridge, Virginia; three sisters, Carrie Boling of Hiwassee, Maxine Haney of Wichita, Kansas and Eddie Bailey of Chinle, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church and the Rev. Tommy Haley officiating. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Arrangments are by Burns Funeral Home of Bentonville. Visitation will be until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Judy Tate

Wade Edgmon age 67 of Mossville, Arkansas died on Wednesday, May 31, 2000 at his residence. He was born April 30, 1933 at Mossville, a son of Jesse and Martha Watson Edgmon. Wade was a faithful member of the Mossville United Baptist Church for 33 years and he served in the Korean War from 1953 to 1955. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Eddie Joe Edgmon and two sisters, Velma Sparks and Eileen Woods.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Charlene Edgmon of Mossville; three brothers J E and Ward Edgmon of Low Gap, Arkansas and Lawton Edgmon of Mossville; six sisters Cleo Lager of Low Gap, Bertha Reynolds of Cassville, Glenna Reynolds of Mossville, Louise Grubb of Springdale, Bonnie Regier and Ruby Hollon of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Many, many nieces and nephews and other friends who will miss him deeply.

Services were at 2 PM Saturday, June 3, 2000 at the Mossville United Baptist Church with Dorlin Sparks and Jerry Wood officiating. Burial in the Mossville Cemetery.

Pallbearers are male members of the Mossville United Baptist Church; Dave Liggett, Pete Lager, Robert Huber, Randy Reynolds, Bobby Reynolds, Justin Reynolds, Glendall Reynolds, Kevin Robertson, Marty Edgmon, Shannon Gibbons, Dustin Lager, Justin Wood, Steve Isley and Chris Daniels. William Henry Edgmon, 75, of Rogers, died Tuesday at St. Mary Rogers Memorial Hospital. He was born March 2, 1911 in Swain, to Columbus and Dorcus Sams Edgmon. He moved to the Rogers area in 1970 from Russell, Kansas. He retired in 1965 after working 22 years for the Coop Refinery Association in Russell. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 291 in Bunker Hill, Kansas and of the Eastern Star in Rogers.

He is survived by his wife Mary Sparks Edgmon of the home; a son Johnny Dean Edgmon of Cherry Hill, New Jersey; a daughter Edna Faye Sparks of Rogers; three brothers, Beecher Edgmon and Walter Edgmon, both of Rogers and Harse Edgmon of Jasper; a sister Rhoda Charlton of Eureka, Kansas; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Hill Everett, 91, of Huntsville, died May 17, 2001 at Fayetteville Health and Rehabilitation Center at Fayetteville. He was born June 16, 1909 at Alabam, Arkansas, the son of George Larking and Florence Dicy Presley Everett. He was the former owner of Huntsville Truck and Implement, has served on the Board of Directors of Huntsville First national Bank for 45 years and was a farmer and avid gardener. He was a member of the Huntsville United Methodist Church, Huntsville Lodge #364, Free and Accepted Masons for more than 50 years and the Huntsville Chapter #154, Royal Arch Masons. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Lucille Parker Everett on June 24, 1971.

Survivors include: one son Charles Everett of Springdale, Arkansas; two daughters, Janice Canup of Springdale and Anna Homes of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 21 in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Harry Hamilton officiating. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home at Huntsville.

Pallbearers will be grandsons. Masonic Rites were by Huntsville Lodge #364, Free and Accepted Masons.
