Some have passed on, Gus cooper, Nelson Ewing and Devoe Campbell.. After daughter Mary, married Lughton Shatswell, Bill and Frances had many opportunities to go to Arkansas and visit Laughton's family and friend. Fond memories of spending time with Robert and Sarah Stone, Carroll and Ett Atkinson, David and Leona Hefley and children and Felix and Emoline Tennison, were mentioned often. Bill, Frances and daughter Mary, were traveling through Tennessee in '97 and stopped by to visit Zelmer Wheeler. Bill thought so much of Zelmer. In the past few years, Bill and Frances so appreciated the prayers of church family of Lurton Assembly, especially when Brother Stan Taylor and the late Herbert Hampton laid hands on Bill and prayed.

His last days and moments at home, with his family at his side, were filled with love and his desire to go Home.

Grandson Kevin gave Bill and Frances a plaque for Christmas years ago, entitled 'Welcome Home'. On February 18th Bill was 'Welcomed Home'. {mcr}
