Elmarene Van Curen, 75, of Ponca, AR died Saturday, March 24, 2001 in Harrison, AR She was born June 21, 1925 in Boxley, AR to Harry & Ersa Farmer Primrose. Mrs. Van Curen was a resident Newton County and a former resident of Kansas City, MO. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church in Mt. Springs, AR and Bible Study Fellowship for 6 years. She was a homemaker. She was precede in death by her parents, her husband, Orbie Van Curen, a daughter, Patricia Villines, 3 granddaughters, 1 great granddaughter, 1 brother & 1 sister.

Survivors include 1 son, Eldon Van Curen of Fayetteville, AR, 4 daughters, Darlene Parker, Ponca, AR, Linda Sitton, Harrisonville, MO, Barbara Crocker, Carthage, MO, Sylvia Wildman, Bella Vista, AR; 1 brother, Gene Primrose, Blue Springs, MO; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday, March 27, 2001 at Beachwood Church at 2:00 PM with burial in the Beachwood Cemetery under the direction of the Christeson Funeral Home of Harrison, AR. Rev. Carl Goodall officiated. Visitation was 6-8 PM on Monday, March 26, 2001 at Christeson Funeral Home in Harrison. {nct}

Robert Lavern Villines, age 67 of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 27, 2000. Funeral services Tuesday, October 31st at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial, Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Villines was born June 12, 1933, in Ponca, Arkansas. He was a field agent for the Missouri Department of Revenue before his retirement. He was a member of Allied Democrat Association and served as Jackson County, Missouri Committeeman for many years.

Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Joyce, of the home; a daughter, Linda Inman, Belton, Missouri; five grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a sister, Lucille Clark. He was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Villines. {nct}
