James Mordecia Edwards, b. 1830 Maury Co. TN d. Feb18, 1885, my gg grandfather...He was the first person to be buried in Moore (Quincy) Cemetery. The land for the cemetery was donated by Bart Abner Casey who also donated land for the school. Bart and Serilda Casey's home and general store were just on around the bend in the road, east of what is now the Moore community building. The old home is still standing, in need of much repair. The store burned around 1950. Children of James M. and Martha (Stubblefield) Edwards: Mary Elizabeth, James Ervin, California, Arizona, Emmaline, Laura Bell and Patrick
