According to Emogene Barnes' research:

Rebecca drew widow pension from William Hill's service in Union Calvary 1st Ar. Calv. Co. E.(I don't think Rebecca ever drew pension from George, she filed for pension but married William before she got it. William Slusher (George's brother) took custody of Rebecca's children. And the children and William drew a pension. I looked up the court files on this custody thing but it didn't tell me anything. I think it was just a way for them to get a pension.)
