Sept 12, 1919

In the name of God, Amen.

I, James Thomas Benton being of sound mind and disposing memoriys and being desirous of settling my worldly affairs before my death, do make this my last will and testimony hereby revoking all other wills made by me.

Item (1) I will that at my death that all my debts of every kind and description shall be paid, if at that time my estate is oweing anything.

Item (2) I will that my body shall be buried out of the proceeds of my estate with Christain burial.

Item (3) I will and bequeath to James Thomas Edwards all my undivided interest in the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 and the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of section 12, township 12, range 20 West situated in the county of Newton, state of Arkansas to have and to hold the same unto himself and his heirs assigns forever with all the appurtanances thereunto belonging.

Item (4) I will and bequeath to Myrtle Garrison, wife of Abe Garrison, all my undivided interest in WE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 containing 40 acres and the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 containing 28 acres- and the east part of the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 containg 14 acres of section 12, township 13, range 20 West situated in the county of Newton, state of Ark. to have and to hold the same unto herself and her assigns forever with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging.

Item 5- I also will and bequeath to Myrtle Garrison - Edith Benton's, my deceased wife, coat and hat and all her wearing apparrell.

Item 6- I will and bequeath all my money, notes, mortages to my beloved sisters, Sarah Ann Polk and Paulina Benton to be equally divided.

Item 7- I will and bequeath to Mary Ann Daniels the geese, a cupboard box, wash tub and wash board.

Item 8- I will that my sewing machine be sent to Sybil Edwards, daughter of Jim Edwards.

Item 9- I will that all my personal property be sold and the proceeds I bequeath to my two beloved sisters, Sarah Ann Polk and Paulina Benton except item 10- #1 I will and bequeath to Charles Edmonds Item 11- I will that Eva N (?) and Ralph Campbell act as executors of this will.

This will is sworn and subscribed to by me in the presence of Lizzie F Sims and Mary E. Garrison as witnesses and requested by me to witness this my last will and testament and that I sign my name in their presence and declare to them that this is my last will and testament.
