EUGENE F. CRODDICK, 81, of Freehold Township, died April 2 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in South Amboy, he lived in Marlboro before moving to Freehold Township more than 30 years ago. Mr. Croddick was the founder and president of JFC Electronics Inc., Marlboro. He served as honorary chairman of Collier Services, Wickatunk section of Marlboro; and was a member of the Navy League of the United States. He was a past president and trustee emeritus of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of the Jersey Shore, and a member of the Christian Brothers Academy Century Club, Lincroft. He was a communicant of St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro. Mr. Croddick is survived by his wife, Florence Hanaway Croddick; a son, John F. of Wickatunk; four daughters, Jean Avery of Spring Lake, Patricia Delatush of Sea Girt, Mary Snyder of Marlboro and Margaret Lempka of Farmingdale; a sister, Marjorie Molnar Wolters of Whiting; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Gabriel’s Church, followed by interment at the parish cemetery.
